Mibbs of Pac Div has just dropped a new project entitled Killer Of Sheep. The LP sports features from Blu, Buddy, T. Flexx, Slim Gravy and Tree.

As reported by Okayplayer, this latest release makes the third solo effort from Mibbs, with the MC releaasing two previous projects Freebasskg and The Program in 2013 and 2014 respectively.

The sounds on this project vary from that classic smooth, souful vibe that Pac Div became known for as a collective during their peak in the late 2000s to a more contemporary trap flair.

Also noticeable to Hip Hop heads such as myself, is the album cover’s spin on golden age hip hop group Black Sheep’s 1991 debut album A Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing.

Pac Div as a group hasn’t released a project since 2012’s GMB, but the members have been putting in significant work lately as individual artists.

Fellow Pac Div representative LIKE released a song with upcoming west coast crooner Anderson Paak earlier this year dubbed “Mission Road,” and also dropped the record “Vice,” all on his lonely.

Also, LIKE’s solo debut Songs Made While High is slated for a September 30 release.

Denver MC Supreme Ace has given us a handful of tracks with Tim Gent, Cyhi The Prynce, and Two 9‘s Ceej and Jace. Now, the rapper delivers his highly anticipated project, Trill Influence. Eleven tracks strong, the project boasts guest appearances from Pac Div, Dizzy Wright, Sy Ari Da Kid, Two 9, Tim Gent, Fly Union Case Arnold, and more. The production is just as diverse with Taylor Gang‘s Sledgren and RMB Justize, Ceej of Two 9, and 30 Roc of Mike Will‘s super producer group The Drumaticz all receiving credit. Ace really excels on this project and is far from being overshadowed by the various big names involved. Sit back and enjoy the chill vibes that radiate from Supreme Ace’s Trill Influence.

In honor of his birthday today, Pac Div’s Mibbs offers up a different sound than we’re used to with the guitar heavy, “Made In USA”. The track was produced by St. Jean and features powerful artwork that references the iconic, 1968 Olympics Black Power salute which caused much controversy at the time. It’s been awhile since we’ve heard from Cali trio, Pac Div (3 years to be exact). But, it looks like they’re back at it again, just in time for summer with “Sun Down (Girls Night Out).” The track features rich production courtesy of MARS of 1500 or Nothin, alongside Pac Div’s signature lively and charismatic flows. No word on whether or not this is a prequel to a new Pac Div project, so stay tuned and get into the vibe below.
