With their super long awaited debut album, 2008, on the way, OverDoz drops another fun-filled video. This time, we get a clip for the jammy summertime banger, “Last Kiss”, which features and is produced by none other than Pharrell Williams. Although P doesn’t make an appearance (but his famous hat does), “Last Kiss” is still pretty awesome to watch, and it’s exactly what you’d expect from the group. Check it out above!

Los Angeles hip-hop collective, Overdoz. sat down with Peter Rosenberg of Hot 97 to chop it up about everything from signing to RCA and L.A. food to the influence of A$AP Yams and their upcoming album, 2008. Keeping up with true Hot 97 style, they also dropped a freestyle over Souls of Mischief’s 93 ’til towards the end. Check it out below.

“Overall, the concept for the song came from an experience during last year’s Coachella Music Festival. We were invited to the festival by some of our white homies. During the weekend, we stayed at their mansion and just witnessed all the crazy shit they were doing. At one point, we even heard one of them yell out ‘n*gga’ when a Kendrick Lamar song came on. Ultimately, ‘Rich White Friends’ is just our view of what’s going on in the world today, everyone’s story is different, this is ours.”

Directed by Calmatic, the video is about the problems of today but still carries that vibrant and playful feel. He carried on to explain:

“OverDoz. is a fun and vibrant group so I just wanted to touch on topics we all relate to, but capture the colorful, unique vibe that OverDoz. is known for. Ultimately, sometimes we have to laugh to keep from crying.”

Childish Gambino made a hard-hitting appearance after blacking out all of his social media profiles on the THC produced “Perfect”. The track also features Kent Jamz of the eclectic, west coast hip-hop trio Overdoz. rapping over the bass-heavy beat with a staccato like flow and cocky lines such as “b*tch, my jeans worth yo life”. Embracing the free, comical spirit of the song, California crew OverDoz lets loose in a slew of single-frame shots that were filmed in a white room.
