In an industry that sometimes forces women to embrace either hyper sexuality or lose their femininity all  together, Chonique Sneed offers a breath of fresh air with “On My Time” and its accompanying visual.

Bringing a  dose of levity to the genre, “On My Time” features a colorful visual with array of backup dancers, that look like –actual women? Yes. On the exorbitantly catchy track,the chorus plays like a daily mantra: “Mama told me I’m a winner so, I’m running like I think I can’t lose. They be like get it girl! Don’t Stop. You could do it girl! Keep flexin!” Don’t be fooled by her playful rhymes, she’s paid her dues.

Hearing how fluidly she flows, you may forget that she’s primarily known for her behind the scenes work with artists such as Britney Spears, Christina Milian and Jay-Z.

In the past year, the L.A. born and bred, Chonique Sneed has seen major success with her single “Let It Go,” which was featured on So You Think You Can Dance? and was also the lead song on Born to Dance.

Her success hasn’t meant this artist can slow down anytime soon. Up next for Sneed is her buzzed-about project, On My Time: 3P.
