Another Meek Mill project. Another Drake diss.

Looks as though these two’s feud shows no sign of slowing down. Shortly after Drake premiered his latest savage offering, “Summer Sixteen,” spitting shots like,

“I let the diss record drop you were standing right below me, n***a…”We must have played it a hundred times, you was going to bed / Why would I put on a vest I expect you to aim for the head? / I coulda killed you the first time / You don’t have to try to say it louder n***a / We could hear you the first time / It’s nothing personal I would have done it to anyone.”

Meek Mill clapped back at the Toronto rapper on his track, “War Pain,”  off his 4/4 Pt. 2 EP– taking several shots at Drake. Spitting rhymes like:

“You ain’t writing, nigga, we caught you/Can’t erase that shit/And you claiming you Hov now?/Why you state that shit?”

“Man I hate that shit, n****s be talkin’ out they face/But soon as you body somethin’ they be singin’ like they Drake/Wait, n****s dancin’ like they fruitcakes/Hotline Bling, don’t get no bang up in this new Wraith.”

“Robbed you in your city and you told/Tory from the six, you hatin’ on him, lord knows.”

Fellow Toronto artist, Tory Lanez (whom Drake also dissed in his “Summer Sixteen” track) has to be who Meek is referring to since the two have history (Lanez made an appearance on Mill’s cut “Lord Knows.”)

But, the real question is: How was Meek able to directly respond to Drake so quickly? He delivered an impressively speedy snap back at Drake minutes after the song released. Summer 2015, when the feud ignited, it took the Philly rapper nearly a week to respond with his poorly received, “Wanna Know“ after Drake called him out on “Charged Up” and grammy nominated “Back to Back,” but this diss track may give him the buzz (and respect) his career needs.

For his strategic execution, it’s safe to say Meek didn’t quite take an L on this one.
