“Ocean View 2.0” is the standout track of Mississippi rapper Pell’s Feel Good Summer, which we premiered last month. The video is a somber reminder of that track’s excellence, pairing Pell‘s mellow rhymes and melodies with hopeful images.  The strongest images are the ones that feature Pell and his pretty companion reclining on an idle, grounded boat. The message seems to be that rap is the vehicle of his dreams, but it’s not necessarily taking off yet. Nevertheless, he’s turned towards the ocean. Watch the video below.

Also, note the musical similarities between Pell and early Kid Cudi.
