Introducing CUTLASS, the debut audible brain-child of Knoxville, TN native Notty Taylor. Putting forth a strong effort to push raw, gritty Hip-Hop, Taylor delivers a project unlike any other to surface as of recent. CUTLASS touches on an array of inner city issues; from the urban struggle, financial woes, illegal dealings, deferred dreams, and the unfortunate realities of many women and men in the rat-race. Painting a perfect picture one can visualize, Taylor takes a stab at the untold parables vastly overlooked by today’s mainstream music industry.

One strong point to note; Notty Taylor has a flow similar to the likes of Andre 3000, B.o.B., and J.Cole. It’s refreshing to hear the blending of these artists into one, which gives a vibration that defines distinctive. Original to his craft, there’s no copy catting here – we just notice his inspiration derivatives.

It’s really difficult to pinpoint strong tracks on CUTLASS due to the LP’s cohesive cadence.  All the tracks come together to form one exceptional project. If we could narrow down our favorites, we’d recommend rocking the Until Then, Str8 $$$, Smoke TriX, 10 MARTHA and LoveSTOP. However, every track on the project could be deemed favorable. It’s no wonder  dramalikethedj.com, HNHH, and boi-1da.net have featured the record with savory reviews.
