Martin Whatson, Norwegian-born-and-based stencil artist, combines statuesque figures and wild graffiti. He brings out the beauty of grey by contrasting it to vibrant colors. We last heard from Whatson in February when he created this large patriotic mural. This bold “French Flag“ is on Rue Amelot, Paris. His character could have had more strength would he have been painted in life-size-format onto the wall.

The artist is currently in Stavanger, Norway where his solo show at the Reed Gallery is opening. In respect to his public, Whatson did not forget to spray one of his signature ballerinas out on the streets.

Dolk Lundgren is a Norwegian street artist. His name in Norwegian means “dagger/knife.” Dolk delivers large monochromatic murals with a hint of color. The stencil artist has rapidly gained popularity since his introduction to the masses.

His hobbies are pretty straightforward: “sex, sex and vandalism,” he says. Dolk’s work appears very similar to Banksy’s. They both use the same color scheme and spraying technique. Dolk likes to work with “sexual motives and a deep humor, telling a whole story in one stencil.”
