Canadian artist Newby has taken his creativity and talent to new heights with his latest release. For his single “Fountain Drink” he has crafted up a one of a kind visual mixing raw creativity and sonically pleasing music. His love for music started at a young age. You will hear notes of 80’s & 90’s music in his sound, as he is heavily influenced by both eras.

As Newby candidly spits some of his best bars to date, this video showcases his talent in a new way. Breaking society norms on video girls, and their sizes, you will see the Canadian emcee dressed like he’s in a scene of Good Burger. He and his friend have light hearted fun, sparking his kid like spirit like never before. 

Two elements of “Fountain Drink” that really catch your attention are the pastel color scheme and Newby’s acting skills. This video looks like it could have easily been ran on Nickelodeon in the late 90’s. With a vision and raw talent, Toronto’s finest has nailed his latest material to perfection. 

If you love a cross between Funk, Alternative, Pop and Rap you will fall in love with the musical styling  is great at keeping his rhymes playful, energetic and filled with innuendoes- introducing a refreshing take on the Toronto Hip-Hop scene.

Hosted by SiriusXM 90s on 9, the first 90sFEST was met with excitement and pure nostalgia. Taking place this past Saturday, September 12 at 50 Kent in Brooklyn, N.Y., the Nickelodeon, Steve Madden, and Sunny Delight-sponsored event featured activities and performances bound to transport concert-goers back to a time where jelly sandals were high-key in fashion, Zack Morris was bae af, and “Whatever” was the perfect response to all of life’s existential questions.

Featuring performances from Salt n Pepa, Naughty By Nature, Smash Mouth, and more, the fest even brought out such celebs as actress AnnaSophia Robb and entertainment blogger Perez Hilton to help take things back to one of the greatest decades. Footage from 90sFEST will air on SiriusXM 90s on 9 September 19 at 2 P.M. E.T. and again September 20 at 8 P.M. E.T.

In the next episode of Sanjay & Craig which premieres May 17 at 7:30 p.m., rap icon Snoop Dogg will play “Street Dogg”, a rapper who moves next door to the 12 year-old protagonist and his pet snake to escape the bright lights of L.A. and make some new music. He busts out some G-rated jams on the new song “On Our Block”, where his lyrics include: 

“This place feels like a nice change of pace/ See on my block it’s all about cars and gold chains”.

“Snoop learned the material on the spot — and blew our minds,” says show creator Jim Dirschberger. “He owned the material and expanded on dialog and musical numbers. He’s an excellent actor with a great sense of humor. Best of all, he is a kid at heart.”

Today Action Bronson kicks off #MrWonderfulWednesdays by releasing the trailer for his upcoming second studio album, “Mr. Wonderful”. The great thing about the trailer is, Bronson and Party Supplies are not the only ones featured, they also brought in Danny Tamberelli from Nickelodeon’s, “The Adventures of Pete & Pete”. The trailer includes a new track from the album, “Only In America” featuring Party Supplies. Watch the awesome parody of the movie “Boogie Nights,” Action acts as Dirk Diggler and Party Supplies as Reed Rothchild.
