Athletes can sing too! As NFL Quarterback Manny Wilkins who goes by his artist name 5IVE, unleashes a new level with debut project “INTRO” that’s proving that point. From college football at Arizona State to making music, 5IVE brings quarantine music vibes with a 5 track long EP and two features from Capito and Prep Bijan. The project sets the tone with the sultry “Watch Out” & “On The Road” mastering the Trap Soul sound that reverberates throughout the project. “Do You Gotta Man” featuring Prep Bijan switches up the instrumental style adding a little bounce to the EP and in the process unleashing a unique rhythm that could be developed into a genre of it’s own. Overall polished and clean sounding production on 5IVE’s project makes “INTRO” a must listen with enough flavour to charm everyone in their feelings during the lockdown. With Férina backing, the PND influence is very much welcome as 5ive has a unique ability to switch emotions without switching his style as he effortlessly maintains a firm grip on his ultra-unique voice.

“I would simply describe my music as a new refreshing and different sound. A lot of people start making music and just make catchy stuff, they want that HIT record that’s going to blow them up so that’s the type of sound you get. With every record I do I let the beat breathe so people can truly feel it then put my vocals on it to complete a story”.

5IVE’s look and all around vibe is a great addition to the Trap Soul genre. His ability to maintain a professional career in the NFL and have major-label ready musical product ready already, he’s not only a viable new contender in the resurging Trap Soul genre, but also a Deion Sanders-like mutant that can unlock new levels of cultural identity. His uncanny ability to rev up his audience for what is to come from him in the future is one of his strong traits as he went live with Férina head honcho PartyNextDoor recently to seal his co-sign. Production credits include Batmanonthebeatz, Nxghts, Ashton Mccreight and Emoney.

Stream the project below and look out for more music from him in the future via his instagram.

The Tight end position has become ever so crucial to the evolving NFL offenses. Teams like the Baltimore Ravens San Francisco 49ers and the New England patriots are just a few teams whose tight end focused schemes have helped catapult them from worst to first or set a presence of continued dominance! Daniel Wilcox a former Superbowl champion with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is one of many who help lead the evolution of the H back position which is a hybrid of a fullback and tight or more of the model of what the 2020 tight end looks like.

I checked in on Daniel on is Journey in football the tight end position and fitness endeavors

Respect: What is Fitness football Fantasy’?

D.Wilcox:; My Publicist Eddie Rhodman, Isaiah Stanback who won a Superbowl with the Seattle Seahawks and myself put our heads together for a great workout for ordinary people to train like an NFL player. We probably had over 100 people on Superbowl weekend out and over 350 sign up. It was a great atmosphere in little Haiti in Miami

Respect: What did you think that experience gave to the people who attended ?

D.Wilcox: I life everything is about respect. I think we gain a lot of respect from the people who participated. In order to play football you have really hone in on your technique. When people got tired we made sure to slow things down and fix their technique. When people get tired their technique falters so so by correcting their technique we put them in position to go hard and that’s when you gain the respect

RESPECT.: You essentially floated from position to position when you first got into the league: Do you think Daniel Wilcox then would be an asset to the NFL now?

D.Wilcox : When I came in i literally floated around from position top position. John Gruden in Tampa didn’t know what to do with me. They moved me from running back to fullback to wide receiver and every time they move you you’re learning a totally new position. When I got to Baltimore, when I got my title as H back so Brian Bullock was the first one to say your an H back so he literally created a position for me/ Fast Forward 10 years later everybody is playing with H backs.

Respect: Where do you see the Ravens getting better as a team?

D.WIlcox: This is the first time in team history where people are afraid to play the Ravens offense with the edition of Lamar Jackson.. When I played Ray Lewis told us all y’all have to do is score 21 because we are going to make sure the other team doesn’t score 21 points. They are not going to have a running back over 100 yards” so if we scored 3 touchdown we were going to win every game. Now you have to to stop the raven offense from scoring 40 points and that is scary

Respect: Do you see Lamar Jackson taking another Step this year?

D.Wilcox; Well I’ll put it like this when you were a freshman in high school you were the low guy on the totem pole by the time you were a senior you were almost invincible. Same thing happens when you get to college. This is Lamar year 3 so basically he like a Junior is High school or college so this is when he is going to start to feel himself build a sense of confidence by being in the same offense. He might start making his own check at the line of scrimmage. And Next year when he is in his fourth year he is going to be on top of his game!

Has the ink dried yet on the deal that Jay-Z just signed with the NFL? Have you figured out how you feel about it? No matter what side of the argument you’re on, two things remain true: one thing is we have to wait and see if his “actionable” deal with the NFL truly benefits those in black and brown communities that suffer from injustice. The second is that Colin Kapernick doesn’t have a job. In my interview with Cris Carter in 2018, Cris ran down a list of QB’s he felt Kaepernick was better than (one of whom recently retired and another who has gone from being a former starter to a backup on a new team). Kaep’s off-the-field merits are above commendable: he has self-financed his Know Your Rights camps while being in what is now year three of his unemployment:

I spoke to quarterback guru Madei Williams and, paired that with my own football knowledge, composed a list of teams he could help right now. With the preseason well into its second week, I am going to attack this from a strictly football talent and depth chart standpoint. Kaep is above prototypical height and weight with proven stats to back him up. I’m also eliminating the excuse that age as an issue, with Tom Brady being able to play well into his 40’s, along with other older quarterbacks who have made a difference for their teams in the past (Kurt Warner, Randall Cunningham, Warren Moon, Brett Favre) just to name a few. This is by far the most QB friendly the NFL has ever been, and most offenses today are set up for the mobile QB to thrive. So, as you read my list, take all that into account.

Philadelphia Eagles: Carson Wentz is the entrenched starter, but every year that he has played, his health as been an issue. With Nick Foles now in Jacksonville and Cody Kessler now hurt, this would be the perfect team and city to embrace Kaep as it once did with Micheal Vick.

Indianapolis Colts: Another entrenched starter insurance policy. Andrew Luck got beat up the first five years of his career because the Colts didn’t invest much into his O-line protection. In some ways they have improved — thanks to head coach Frank Reich. Regardless, the Colts are kind of suffering from football karma of sorts, with Luck being injured often. Reich would be able to adjust his offense to Kaep’s plying style as he understands the value of a good backup, having been one of the longest tenures backup behind JIm Kelly in Buffalo to partner with his many years of the offensive side of the ball and seeing what happened in Philly in their 2017 Superbowl run! it may be a good fit.

Miami Dolphins: Steven Ross politics aside, Keapernick would be an upgrade over any QB in the room. Josh Rosen is on his second team in a year after he was drafted high in the 2018 draft. Couple that with Kaep’s playoff and Super Bowl experience and you add more stability to the room than the Dolphins have had in years.

Arizona Cardinals: After watching Kyler Murray‘s preseason debut, it looks like it’s going to be a long season in Arizona. To go along with that, it looks like Murray may be taking a lot of hits. That being said, having a capable Kaep in the wings might be a wise choice given his experiences, and the fact that they wouldn’t have to make changes to the offense if Kyler Murray isn’t ready to go. Couple that with the fact that part of the reason Kliff Kingsbury was hired because he is an offensive guru and QB whisperer, this might be a good match.

Oakland Raiders: Derek Carr is in a ‘play and see’ type of year with the Raiders. As they try and see if Carr is truly their future, it wouldn’t hurt to have Kaep waiting in the wings if things go left. Mike Glennon did show some improvement this week, but Kaepernick is an easy upgrade over any backup on the team. Beyond that, I cant help but think that the marriage of the two brands would help the Raiders rebel image in the NFL.

Minnesota Vikings: Kirk Cousins had a mixed bag of opinions before he inked that huge $84 million dollar deal. In his first year with the Vikings, he didn’t do much to live up to those expectations. Adding Kaep would make a lot of sense for a team that seems to be returning back to a strong running game with the return of Dalvin Cook and a good receiving corps.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Doug Marrone had to play musical chairs with his QB situation last year. Now that Nick Foles is the starter, the Jags have more stability. The truth is, we have been here before with Nick Foles when he played for the Rams before he returned to the Eagles. Having Kaep would be as strong backup option with the likes of Leonard Fournette behind him.

Strong runners up behind each of these teams are longer shots, but from a talent stand point: Keapernick could still help the Broncos, Titans, Bengals, Buccaneers, Panthers, 49ers and Texans.

Extra Credit: Any XFL team. Former University of Oklahoma and Steelers backup Landry Jones was the first player to sign with that league. Vince McMahon is a marketing genius and, even though he has already made it clear that all players would have to stand for for the anthem, Kaepernick would easily be better then any QB you could bring into the XFL, and I believe his addition would put eyeballs on their brand and butts in the seats to see how the embattled QB plays.

I started this post with saying that we have to wait and see what comes of this Roc Nation-NFL deal. One last truth that I would like to leave you with is this: if the NFL truly wants to move forward from Kaep, it has to move forward with Kaep. If they truly recognize why he was kneeling and see that he has the talent and skill set, then there is no real reason for him not to have a job.

Former Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones was reportedly attacked during a run-in with a facility-service employee at the airport in Atlanta.

According to TMZ Sports, Jones confronted ABM Industries employee Frank Ragin after Ragin made a “gesture” toward the football player Tuesday night at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Police say words were exchanged before Ragin struck Jones with a closed fist, causing a cut to Jones’ face. Jones then reportedly tried to take off his backpack but instead throws a haymaker at Ragin.

Cellphone video footage shows that Jones and Ragin traded several punches with each other. Jones ultimately knocked Ragin down to the ground with a punch to the face then hit the employee one more time before a man broke up the fight.

After gathering information and seeing the video, police arrested Ragin, citing him as the instigator and states that Jones was simply defending himself.

Ragin was arrested on two counts of battery and taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for injuries.

Pacman Jones is notably one of the NFL’s most fierce players. The one-time Pro Bowler spent eight seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals before playing with the Tennessee Titans and Dallas Cowboys.

NBA player turned sports analysts and budding political pundit Charles Barkley has been pretty consistent when it comes to assessing the job of U.S. President Donald Trump.

Appearing as a guest at the desk of CBS’s NFL Today show, earlier on Sunday, the Round Mound of Rebound weighed in on President Trump’s criticism of NFL Players kneeling during the playing of the U.S. National Anthem and taking back the White House’s invitation to the NBA’s World Champion Golden State Warriors.

“The president of the United States should never use the word SOB,” Barkley said referencing President Trump’s subliminal reference to embattled NFL free agent Colin Kaepernick during a Friday rally in Alabama.

For the record, Alabama is Barkley’s home state.

“That’s just 100 percent inappropriate. I’m embarrassed because he said the speech in Alabama and got a rousing reception when he said those things. So it hurts me that those ignorant folks in Alabama would applaud something so stupid.”

Barkley admittedly has been anti-Trump from the start dating back to the President’s ‘locker room talk’ controversy before winning last year’s election. A tape from 2005 emerged of Trump boasting to former NBC correspondent Billy Bush that being famous allowed him to ‘do anything’ to women, including grabbing “them by the pu**y.”

“It’s never appropriate to touch a woman, or grab a woman,” Barkley told me last fall.

“I have a daughter too. It’s never appropriate to sexually assault or harass a woman, ever!

Check Out Charles Barkley & Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson’s Discussion On President Trump on Scoop B Radio

“I’m gonna try to do everything in my power to support the President because he’s the President of The United States,” Barkley told me on Scoop B Radio in April.

“I mean we got to get behind him, he’s done some things already that I don’t like. I’m against the Muslim ban, I’m against the immigration deportation, he’s got to stop trying to paint everybody with a broad brush. I mean, it’s just wrong. Most of these Muslim people here are amazing, hard-working people same thing with these illegal immigrants, they’re here, they’re hard working people. I think most people don’t want gangsters here, people don’t want terrorists here we all understand that, but people have to be able to be treated with respect and dignity.”

Barkley’s thought process is pretty much aligned with the growing list of athletes who have been vocal about President Trump over the weekend. That list includes the Golden State Warriors Draymond Green, Houston Rockets’ Chris Paul, retired NBA player Kobe Bryant and the Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James who on Saturday called President Trump a ‘bum’ via twitter. San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich have been vocal about President Trump as well.

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Lucky Whitehead may have been vindicated on the charges of shoplifting, but that isn’t changing the mind of his former GM.

According to published reports, the Prince William County Police Department issued a statement clearing Whitehead from all charges regarding the shoplifting incident, Whitehead and his agent, David Rich, labeled it a case of mistaken identity; the Cowboys, however, released Whitehead from the roster, citing a pattern of behavior.

“At this point, the police department is also confident in confirming that Mr. Whitehead’s identity was falsely provided to police during the investigation,” according to the statement.”Since the identifying information provided by the arrested during the investigation was apparently false, the police department is working with the Prince William County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office to clear Mr. Whitehead from this investigation.”

During an interview with the Dallas Morning News, Whitehead spoke on the situation saying he was “blindsided” by the release and offended that no one in the management of the Cowboys had his back.

“Let’s not sugarcoat anything. I was pretty much being called a liar. No one [in Cowboys management] had my back in the whole situation. I knew about it at, what? 12:45. By 2:30, I’m released.”

During an interview with ESPN, Whitehead’s agent revealed the original report was a total surprise to everyone.

“Everybody was [surprised], the Cowboys, Lucky, myself,” David Rich said. “That’s what drove this thing. From the first call, it was a breakup tone. I’ve been broken up with before, and I know what that sounds like. It was, ‘You better have a darn good reason for this,’ and we were completely blindsided by it.”

Despite the wide receiver being cleared from wrong doing, the Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said during a press conference that the team decision was made and he supports it and that the Cowboys are refocusing their attention to new players that are currently under the media’s radar.

“Yesterday we made a decision that was deemed to be in the best interest of the Dallas Cowboys. We’re standing by that decision. We’re going to move on.”

Whitehead is also moving on. According to his agent, he has three or four teams interested in signing him to their teams. Although he didn’t reveal them specifically, he was confident that his client’s ability will have him on the field for the upcoming season.

“It’s disappointing, but it’s a tough life lesson for the young man,” Rich said. “He’ll be fine. I’ve had three or four teams reach out to me already, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he was picked up, especially with the way rosters are right now. You can add a receiver from Long Beach State Community College or add a guy like Lucky Whitehead, who has a pretty good body of work.”

Rich said he will consult with Whitehead and Whitehead’s family over what direction to pursue next, either legally or with the NFL Players Association.

“Right now, he just wants to play football,” Rich said. “He had a challenge ahead of him, and he was ready for the challenge. He was tweeting 20 minutes before the first practice how excited he was. It’s been a tough 24 hours. I think it will make him stronger.”
