Make me say uhh!

Usher is back and making his long-awaited return with his his new summer jam “No Limit”. Inspired by Master P and his 1998 hit “Make Em Say Uhh!”, the new track has the help of none other than fellow ATLien, Young Thug as Usher sings about his limitless love for his “soldier.”

He sings:

“Make you say uhh, no limit / Got that Master P,” he sings. “I C-mm-murder-murder that / No limit, baby / Give you that Ghetto D, girl, no limit / Just know when you roll with a ni**a like me, there’s no limit, baby.”

Thugger, in true fashion, famously shows his appreciation for a beautiful lady in his own different yet trendy way as he praises a girl who is “finer than wine” (hey, Jerrika).

It was reported earlier this year that the R&B superstar is working on his eighth studio album Flawed. Although it was originally expected to drop in April, we aren’t complaining. Most artist never make their first-end goal of release dates. As long as the music good, nobody really cares.

You can listen to the song exclusively on TIDAL

New Orleans rapper, Dee-1, initiates an conversation with fellow Louisianan, Lil Wayne, over his “Rich As Fxck“ instrumental. Dee-1 uses “Call Yo Bluff“ as a creative outlet to discuss the music industry’s impact on society and hip-hop culture.

“My lil homies bump you, and my lil dogs look up to you, but your food for thought don’t fill them up” and then proceeded to say, “Let’s meet in Hollygrove for coffee / and talk about all our people that’s dead lying in coffins.”

Being that both rappers are New Orleans natives, Dee-1 analyzes Wayne’s content and influence to make an example for a conversation about hip-hop which he feels is necessary. But don’t get it twisted, Dee-1 has mentioned in the past that Lil Wayne is one of his biggest influences. This track is off of his new mixtape, Separated At Birth, which drops on September 15, 2015.

SONY/RCA Inspiration artist, Dee–1, recently dropped the visuals for his single, “I’m Not Perfect (I’m a Christian)”. This particular track is the last single from the New Orleans native’s new EP, 3’s UP.

The video is definitely a switch from what is considered “appealing” in the mainstream world of music. It’s positive and promotes spirituality. Honestly, I say, why not? There needs to be more balance in the music, especially when all that you hear what’s being glorified is drugs, money, and sex.

In the video, there’s even a scene with an actor which resembles Baby from Cash Money, and on the contract the company was labeled as “Money Cash Records”. Interesting. You have to see the video to see more of what I’m talking about.

Every time Kevin Gates drops a new music video I get eagerly excited. I’m talking about the genuine excitement, like Christmas Day as a child type. Well, today is another episode of those days. Kevin Gates, as exotic as he may be is a true entertainer, keeping us plugged into his every antic. The new visual for ‘Khaza‘ (see above) is just another installment to his dope collection of videos lately.

New Orleans native, currently residing in Charlotte, NC-Shome is an artist that has been making waves for quite some time. His newest project, Kinda Sorta, takes jazz and hip-hop influences of NoLa and combines it with features from Charlotte artists such as Elevator Jay, Lotta, Senior and others to make the perfect K.O. He always gives listeners what he is going through in life at the moment instead of faking the funk and that’s why his music stands out. Each track has its own bang but “Road Trip” has that down south funky sound that many don’t capture these days. Check out Kinda Sorta below.
