The long-awaited debut album from Spanish Harlem rapper Bodega Bamz is finally here. The Tan Boy’s newest project, Sidewalk Exec is a true representation of NYC. Featuring Joell Ortiz, Flatbush Zombies, and the late, A$AP Yams, it’s clear the New New York rapper wanted to let the Big Apple’s presence be known in the music game. Another NY rap controversy, another Astro intervention. “New New York” finds Astro lamenting the lack of shine thrown the way of “real rap” in NY these days, mocking the breathless stutter that’s pervaded the scene recently, and poignantly pointing us to the problem in the hook “Disrespect and get your head knocked off / Everybody’s supposed to represent, but when it comes time to talk…” Astro‘s talking, and he’s a wise kid. Mixtape Download: Bodega BAMZ – Strictly 4 My P.A.P.I.Z. Remixes

Bodega BAMZ dropped his project Strictly 4 My P.A.P.I.Z. back in October of last year, but with the help of Spain producer Slash Major, he has remixed the whole project. It’s all new instrumentals with a heavy Latin influence. You could throw this tape on at a Dominican baby shower and everything would be ok, according to Bodega BAMZ.
