California based songstress Amy Correa Bell has officially released the visual for her “Days Like This” visual. It was produced by 100Million of the 237 Music Group, this is one of Bell’s best material to date. The Southern Cali native takes the viewer on a tour of her personal space, sharing her vibe and infectious energy.  Directed by TOTL, the montage alternates between Bell dancing around her private suite, and enjoying time outside to herself.

In this video you will see the an array of colors bouncing from buildings, instruments and art piece. As Bell appears on camera looking like a fairy goddess, her multi colored ensemble helps paint a picture of what a day in her life looks like. Her angelic presence and serene demeanor makes for a memorable listening and viewing experience. You will hear her saying things like “On a day like this you don’t need a sweater”. Her ethereal vocals create an eerie, daunting effect that play out in this visual.

Bell, who is the wife of Ricky Bell, from the iconic New Edition and Bell Biv DeVoe, said her experiences with shady characters and work ethic in the industry inspired the visuals for “Days Like This.” Dealing with the industry-led her to show how she isolates herself while figuring out her own special place to create and express without outside negativity. She wanted fans to connect with her on an intimate level, revealing her true colors and expression without judgment.

By defining her own brand of music, Bell is poised to lead us through the 2020s by ushering in a new era of urban retro pop. The Queen of R&B K. Michelle has officially released her highly anticipated single “The Rain“. Having tapped New Edition’s “Can You Stand The Rain”, this release has set the tone for her forthcoming fifth studio album All Monsters Are Human. The most impressive thing about this release is the songstress’s impeccable vocals over a familiar melody.

On this release K. Michelle gets very sexy and sensual, as she shows the world how much of a creative genius she is. To ensure the success of this single, she tapped hitmaker Jazzy Pha, who killed the production to perfection. You will hear the Memphis native saying things like “I can get it wetter than a thunderstorm, make love from the midnight till the early morn, wakin you up like some Folgers in your cup, that morning brew, that’s what I do”. These concrete lyrics are one of many reasons why “Rain” is a masterpiece.

As K. Hey, did you know that the Boston Celtics’ matchup this evening against the Washington Wizards at TD Garden marks the first time in franchise history that Boston hosts a home game?

A legenary team never having a home day on Christmas?

Wow!

Yep, according to CBS Local Sport Sports Boston, all of Boston’s other Christmas Day appearances were either on the road or at neutral sites.  The Celtics are 14-16 in their Christmas Day.

Speaking of Boston, Michael Bivins is from Boston. A founding member of both legendary groups, New Edition and Bel Biv and Devoe, he’s been part of historic songs like Candy Girl, Poison, Under The Blue Moon and Heartbreak.

But check this out, in a chat with with Bivins, he told me that he once felt like a member of the Boston Celtics when he got the ultimate Christmas gift: a retractable basketball hoop that he had in his bedroom.

“You cold not tell me that was not a member of the Boston Celtics in my projects bedroom,” Michael Bivins told me.

Ronnie, Bobby, Johnny, Rick, Ralph & Mike!

It appears the New Edition biopic (which is long overdue) is moving precisely.  Viacom released a press release last night confirming the biopic is on its way.  The three-part miniseries will be directed by Chris Robinson, produced by Jesse Collins, and will chronicle the legendary boy-band group from their humble beginnings in Boston, to their rise to fame.

The key component to a good biopic is its cast.  Last night during BET‘s Upfront presentation the cast was unveiled.  Empire star, Bryshere Y. Gray will be playing the role on the groups leading force Michal Bivins, while Elijah Kelley (The Wiz Live) will portray Ricky Bell.  Along with them two Grammy-nominated singer, Luke James will play the role of Johnny Gill. Actor. Woody McClain is set to play Ralph Tresvant and the role of Bobby Brown will be played by Algee Smith.  Straight Outta Compton star Keith Powers was cast to portray Ronnie DeVoe. All the actors are set to portray the singers as youngsters too, including a few others.

The film is set to begin production next month in Los Angeles.  New Edition: The Movie is scheduled to premiere on BET in 2017.

New Edition was formed in 1978 and produced the hit songs “Cool It Now,” and “Candy Girl.”  They’re responsible for paving the boy-band wave in the 80’s & 90’s and have influenced other boy-band groups I.E. New Kids on the Block, Backstreet Boys, Another Bad Creation, and Boyz II Men.
