The future of New York hip-hop is in great [albeit it small] hands. With so many newcomers leading the charge, Bishop Nehru is looking to stay ahead of the pack with his new mixtape, strictlyFLOWZ. This tape follows up his critically-acclaimed Nehruvia tape which was released back in March. Building off the sound that made him popular, the 16-year-old sticks to minimalist, boom-bap beats and his ferocious flow. It’s reminiscent of the early ’90s while managing not to sound stale. 16 year-old Brooklyn rapper Bishop Nehru has dropped the latest visuals from his mixtape, Nehruvia,  which was released last winter. Coming out of an aggressively lyrical tradition, Nehru is obsessed with the technical aspects of rhyming. But he’s more than just a skilled rapper. The video for “Fickle Mind$” showcases his awareness of his social world. The Brooklyn he lives in isn’t where you’ll find the Barclays Center. Watch and stream his mixtape below.
