Jania Meshell is in the process of reinvention.

After her tumultuous and very public break up with ex, NBA Young Boy, Jania Meshell is back and this time she’s planning to help make the world beautiful.

According to a press release sent exclusively to RESPECT., the self-titled brand Jania Meshell will feature beauty, cosmetic, and personal care products from her own online store. Meshell’s beauty brand launch comes after the launch of her successful YouTube channel, bolstering more than 400,000 subscribers, the illustrious channel features Jania’s personal vlogs, beauty reviews, and pranks.

In other Jania Meshell news, earlier this year she sat down with DJ Small Eyes to share her feelings on cosmetic surgery and how an earlier procedure almost ended her life.

“I got a blood clot, and they were like, you know… If I didn’t get it fixed, It could cause more problems,” Janie said. “They had the whole implant upside down, so I felt it in my armpit and couldn’t really lift this arm, it was just the worst experience. When I went back to get it fixed it was still messed up.”

Meshell noted that while her experience was terrible, she would never judge anyone else who desires to “fix”their bodies before cautioning young women to be careful based off of her experience.

“I feel like if you don’t like something on your body, fix it,” Jania continued. “People think that I’m young and I don’t really know, so they feel like they can get over on me, and that was one of the times.”

Hailing from Oakland, CA, rising rapper Trigga, is someone who has been influenced heavily by different genres of music. You will hear an array of sounds and vibes as he serves up his best work to date on his new Eighty-Sixth album.

Within 15 tracks, you will hear an array of genres and fire bars from the young emcee. As his sound is derived from elements of the Bay, he prides himself on not sounding like any other Bay area artist. His diverse flow, and delivery are two elements of this release that stand out the most.

When asked about the inspiration behind his new album Trigga responded “The inspiration behind my latest release was basically just letting the world know who I am and where I come from. The album cover is a picture of me and my granny on the porch while she is braiding my hair. That house is home. If I leave, I always come back. I can’t stay away”.

While he credits those around him for solely being his biggest influences, he wouldn’t mind collaborating with Roddy Ricch, NBA Youngboy, Meek Mill, Rod Wave, and other artists from the Bay.

As Trigga is gearing up for his most successful year yet, he wants to be known for delivering great, quality music suitable for all music lovers worldwide. He also plans to expand his brand, Alla BoutMoney, across the world with his music and merchandise.

Brazilian Multi-platinum producer, João “JD On Tha Track” Duarte, is a hitmaker influencing the hip hop game in a major way. Backed by Sony Music Entertainment his distinct sound has afforded him the opportunity to collaborate with music hotshots such as Lil Tjay, Polo G, Gunna, Lil Baby, NBA Youngboy, and Rick Ross to name a few.

I caught up with the hitmaker for a candid interview, as he openly discussed transitioning to America, creating hits with Lil Tjay and having an original sound. Check it out below!

JD On Tha Track Interview

Respect: Who is JD on the Track?

JD: Just a person that had a dream to become one of the greatest producers ever. I’ a person who made it out Brazil that wanted to change the world in a positive way, being a motivation to people and someone to help people through music. I want people to feel my beats in their hearts and souls and change their lives for the better. I want to my music to make people’s day. I want to change the world. I want to be the best producer ever.

Respect: When did you realize you wanted to pursue a career in music as a producer?

JD: I realized around 2011 when I was listening to Wiz Khalifa’s “Cabin Fever” album or something like that and I told myself, “I want to be apart of this” because when I saw the producing credits of the producers, I knew I wanted to make something like this. So that is when I first realized, I wanted to do that. 2012 was the year I actually started making beats. I always loved music. Since I was a kid, I always listened to Eminem, 50 cent, Akon, The Game, everybody back in the day. I always had that passion for music especially Rap and Hip-Hop.”

Respect: How did you get your start in the music business? When did you catch your break?

JD: I think it was when TJAY dropped “Brothers” and that song started doing well. After “Pop Out”, everything was getting better.”

Respect: Do you mind giving some insight on what it’s been like working and creating with Lil Tjay?

JD: We the got chemistry. Since I met him, we just kept going hard. We have so many songs that are not even out yet and every song that we have could go platinum. Every song that we have a good response from the fans and everybody.

Respect: How does it feel like having a record charting on billboard at the number 11 as one of your major accomplishments?

JD: It feels amazing. Just a blessing.

Respect: How has being a multi-platinum producer changed your life?

JD: It changed my life on how I see things. I have become so mature. I have learned so many new things.

Respect: As you are a producer who has found your way in the industry, how would you best describe your production style?

JD: I think my production style is melodic with some hard drums. It’s very unique. When people come to me, they want that “JD on the track” style. When they hear it, they will know it is me on the beat once my tag line drops on every song. That is really important for a producer. Producers need to have their own sound and style.

Respect: What prompted your move to America from Brazil as you have recently relocated?

JD: I have only been living in the US for 3 months. Music made me move to the US to pursue my dreams and goals. Respect: What is up next for JD on the Track as the new year is underway, and what are you most excited about in 2020?

JD: I have a lot of songs with a bunch of new people. I am not going to disclose any names but it is a lot of people and you all will see when it drops. You can expect so much more hard work, many more plaques, and an album. I want to drop an album with all my producing credits. You can expect a lot from me in 2020.

Respect: What prompted your move to America from Brazil?

JD: I have only been living in the US for 3 months. Music made me move to the US to pursue my dreams and goals.

Respect: How have things been since moving to America?

JD: It was tough in the beginning but after a while, I have definitely gotten used to it.

Respect: What advice would you give a person looking to break into the industry as a producer?

JD: Just keep going hard. Keep doing what you doing. Do not listen to what anyone has to say about it. Do not lose faith. Just keep going, no matter what.”

Houston rapper Jdagr8 is Houston’s next big star. His raw talent and hustle like mentality, has propelled his career to new heights. Having worked with one of music’s biggest stars NBA Youngboy, he already has a hit record and plans to continue this momentum. But the one thing that separates him from the rest of the pack, is his community work as a public figure. No matter where he goes, and how much money he makes, he always bring the city of Houston with him.

I had the pleasure of catching up with the emcee for a candid interview. As he discusses working with NBA Youngboy, giving back and putting on for his city, it is clear that he was born a star. Check it out below.

Respect: What does it feel like being a hometown hero in Houston?

Jdagr8: I never really thought about it. But most heroes never look at themselves as heroes. I like to give back especially because I come from scraps. Growing up my mom had a bunch of kids at a young age so I never really got what I want. So when I give back to my community and kids I try to give them the opportunities I never had. I see myself in kids. It truly is a blessing to be able to give back to my community.

Respect: How did the record with NBA Young Boy come about?

Jdagr8: We recorded it a year ago from today. We did a concert right when he was going through a lot of heat in the press. I actually opened up for him. But it was my concert. I had a promo company to book artists and we would chop it up with the artists and then usually record music together. We booked him for a show and organically start talking. I sent him over the “Can I Trust You” record and he recorded his verse immediately. I felt like I wrote that for him so it was a perfect fit.

Respect: Why is it important for you to give back to your community?

Jdagr8: It is important because of the effort it takes for us to make money and sustain it once we get it. I did not have to work too hard for the money I have so it was only the natural thing to do. That is the way universe works. You have to give back in order to keep receiving blessings. My mentor told me to treat everyone like they are somebody. It forced me to give versus acting like I am better than people. I see everyone as an equal.

Respect: Describe the experience in working with Paul Wall and & Johnny Dang & Co?

Jdagr8: It was organic. A lot of people in the greater Houston area do not get enough press for the community work that they do. Paul Wall and Slim Thug give back so much. I kind of followed in their footsteps. It truly was an honor and being that I am kind of new artist in Houston, it was dope for us to come together. It was actually my event. I reached out to Paul Wall and he got on board right away. It felt natural working with him. He and Slim Thug both donated 200 backpacks. He assured me that if I ever needed anything including music, that all I had to do was reach out and it would be handled. Special shout out to Johnny Dang & Co.

Respect: What are you currently working on?

Jdagr8: I am currently working on some new music. My “Can I Trust You” song is on my 50 track project titled Till We All Rich. This is my breakout album. So many people said my album is too long, and that I would ruin my career before I started it. But I wanted to do it because it had never been done. Chris brown inspired me, when he dropped his 46 song project out of nowhere. I was going to do 42, I seen he had 46 and that’s how I got to 50. I had to out do him.

Respect: If you could work with any artist in the world who would it be?

Jdagr8: Meek Mill hands down because we have the same story. He got in all that trouble the same way I did. We literally have the exact same story bar for bar. I just did more time than him. He is like a brother.

His independent indie label and album namesake Till We All Rich, are two reasons why he will leave a lasting impact on the music business.

When a management team that has brought the world the likes of Lil Wayne, Kevin Gates and NBA YoungBoy decided to put their managerial talents behind an artist, said artist might turn out to be a gem. Such is the case with Winter Haven, FL native Jamie Ray. The newcomer comes from a long line of musicians, so embarking on a career in music is not much of a surprise. Blessed with the dual vocal talents of singing and rapping, Jamie also a gifted producer, arranging his own music as well.

Having already carved his own niche within his circle of collaborators, Jamie recently partnered with his comrade NBA YoungBoy for the brand new visual for “16.” Premiered by Noisey, the visual finds the pair flanked by a luxury car and lampin’ in the skate park as they trade melodies. Speaking with Noisey, Jamie shared, “ It’s inspired by me wanting and getting the things I never had. It’s like the law of attraction, if you put it in the air you will receive it.” The audio for “16,” can be found on Jamie’s new mixtape “Castles in the Sky.”

Peep the visual at the top of the post and let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
