The moment of death can literally paralyze a person’s dreams and redirect their visual direction in life. During a person’s youth having positive influences, role models, and reliable parental guidance are critical keys to success. Jason Johnson aka Big Head Bandz was born into music royalty, with his father being the lead singer of the 70’s R&B/Soul group “Fabulous Determination.” Legendary singer “James Brown” signed the group to his record label, and they generated massive success.

Surrounded by a wealth of musicians and wealthy musical bloodline Jason Johnson understood his purpose early in life. Jason began cultivating the craft of rapping and quickly gained local notoriety for his creative wordplay and delivery. As his rap career started to take off, Big Head Bandz suffered the most significant loss of his early beginnings. Beeta Bum (RIP) suffered an unexpected death which created a massive void in his life. Beeta Bum was the uncle of Big Head Bandz and provided business insight and street gems that guided his day to day steps. The death of Beeta Bum created a new energy and musical vision for Big Head Bandz.

In 2015 Big Head Bandz launched “Got Bandz Entertainment” and never looked back. Big Head Bandz received live performance invites from mainstream commercial artists Jeezy, Juvenile, and BG. In 2018 he released the street/club anthem “I Just Can’t Quit.” The track invokes sexy fantasy rhymes infused with real-life relationship goals. “I Just Can’t Quit” makes music millennial’s scream “I love it when you call me Big Poppa”! The track is smooth like a straight shot of Dusse and sexy as a silhouette of the rapper Kash Doll. “I Just Can’t Quit” has generated over 100,000 digital streams between Spotify, Apple Music, & Pandora.

In 2019 Big Head Bandz released another “LL COOL J” type record with “Just Another Day.” The record has a classic 90’s rideout melody, and lyrically it reaches your soul on every verse. The track has increased Big Head Bandz female Spotify & Pandora listening audience. The record is a handbook for millennials seeking the perfect romantic relationship. “Just Another Day” gained major radio airplay from the initial release and reached the Top 150 National Independent charts on Digital Radio Tracker (www.digitalradiotracker.com ) within 14 days. Big Head Bandz second major release “BERRY GORDY” has blazed a tremendous trail online and ranked nationally every week on major charts including Digital Radio Tracker for 90+ straight days. “Berry Gordy’s” signature soulful sound blended with classic Hip-Hop lyrics secures his rap credibility on all levels.

Big Head Bandz secured global digital and viral distribution for his label via MUSICHYPEBEAST/EMPIRE in 2018. Got Bandz Entertainment has several emerging brands underneath its corporate umbrella. Clothing, global merchandising, record label, music publishing, brand management, and more.
