MOOD ENT.’s highly anticipated album, MAINTAIN has finally arrived. Does the project meet our expectations? Read the review from RESPECT. Magazine’s Tracy Mitchell to find out.

After dropping the visual for their lead single “VA ISNT FOR LOVERS,” the VA collective keeps their promise and finally shares a new project. MOOD ENT. uses their debut album MAINTAIN to let people know they’re very much here and they aren’t going anywhere. The rap collective based in Hampton, Virginia has successfully created an exceptional hip-hop album that speaks on what most of us are into these days. VA star power is infused all throughout this album and most of all, it perfectly embodies all of their musical strengths.

Amongst all nine tracks of the project MOOD ENT. makes it a priority to give listeners an accurate feel and experience of who they are. They incredibly shine in their tracks “HARDAWAY” and “FIGURES” where they speak on the raw trials and tribulations of their come up. In conjunction with their rawness, they boldly show off their pen game in “MONSTARS” where they spit some serious bars over a classic/hip-hop influenced beat. However, on tracks like “VIBE,” “LATELY,” “WATERPARK,” and “NEW WU-TANG” the collective displays their charming side as they trade verses all while meshing the dope elements of Virginia’s hip-hop sound. One cut that’s surely a stand out track on MAINTAIN is ACCIDENT, where they give us a wavy record with a playful instrumental which is packed with hard-hitting verses and a catchy hook.

Overall, MAINTAIN is a well done hip-hop album that greatly represents the VA. As for the strongest tracks on the project, it’s most definitely “LATELY,” “ACCIDENT,” and “MONSTARS.” Click play below and get a feel of what MOOD ENT. has in store for this music game.

Don’t let the hip-hop scene fool you; MC’s need love too and today, 757 rap collective MOOD ENT. reveals that Virginia isn’t the place for that.

MOOD ENT. recently shared their “VIRGINIA ISN’T FOR LOVERS” record with us but now, they’re able to bring the track to life with an entertaining new visual shot by VA based videographer Dawit N.M.

The music video starts off with the artists sitting on a panel coming face to face with their potential VA love interests for the very first time. While sitting on the panel, they critique their love interests while rapping their verses. As the track comes to an end, the visual reaches a very surprising ending when Miss Richmond, VA is crowned their love but she finds herself in a brawl with Miss Hampton.

This is definitely a great visual for the record and you should definitely check it out below if you haven’t already.
