<p>The <a href="http://cfaer.org/index.php/" target="_blank">Center for the Arts Eagle Rock</a> in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles recently announced &#8220;The Mapping of Countries Yet to Come,&#8221; a project inspired by images and sounds of northeast Los Angeles. <strong>Flying Lotus</strong>, the experimental hip-hop producer celebrated by <a href="http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/14198-cosmogramma/" target="_blank">Pitchfork</a> and <a href="http://www.newyorker.com/arts/critics/musical/2008/12/01/081201crmu_music_frerejones?currentPage=all" target="_blank">The New Yorker</a> alike, will combine his talents with <strong>Miwa Matreyek</strong>, the experimental animation (performance) artist featured at the TEDGlobal 2010 conference, to sample media from the local community in an effort to celebrate northeast Los Angeles&#8217;s own artistic wealth.</p>
<p>The project, &#8220;The Mapping of Countries Yet to Come,&#8221; will premiere in June 2012.</p>
