Blu and Exile drop the smooth new video for “Maybe One Day” off their album Give Me My Flowers While I Can Still Smell Them. The black and white video keeps it pretty simple to showcase the sick bars that Blu is spitting. The video was directed by Jerome D and was shot while the duo was traveling on tour. This is the first video off their album which dropped in September so look for plenty more hotness to come. Check out the video below.

Earlier today news of Blu and Exile’s latest project hit the net, but this collaboration isn’t due until the end of the summer. Nonetheless, that gives hip-hop fans plenty of time to think about what these two could be cooking up. Give Me My Flowers While I Can Still Smell Them was released last year, but the duo decided to remix, remaster and retool some of the tracks before the official release set for September 4th. On a brighter note, this tandem is also supposed to release a new EP titled Maybe One Day, which is due out July 24th. Looks like they’re trying to butter up fans for the album release in September. Some people are still grooving to that Below the Heavens album, so more music is definitely a good problem to have. In the meantime be sure to check out the announcement video below.

When Below the Heavens dropped back in 2007, the rapper & producer pair of Blu & Exile were likened to Nas and Dj Premier and Cassidy and Swizz Beatz, among others. Since that heavenly album, fans have been growling for another collaboration. Those growls were exacerbated last year when the pair released their second collaboration, Give Me My Flowers While I Can Smell Them, via bandcamp. The audio quality was laughable, resulting in the album eventually being pulled from the site and slated for a high quality release.

Well, that new release now has a date: September 4th.  Additionally, in the meantime, via Fat Beats, Blu & Exile are also releasing Maybe One Day, a brief appetizer to tide the masses over before September. Due out on July 24, the EP will be on vinyl. Peep the trailer below.
