T.I. unveiled that he will be dropping new music tomorrow after making an announcement via Instagram, on May 13th. The Atlanta rapper plans to release an accompanied music video to his new single titled ‘Dope‘. Tip “T.I.” Harris revealed that the single, produced by Dr. Dre, will also feature singer-songwriter Marsha Ambrosius. 

T.I. posted a tease for the single on his Instagram giving fans a chance to get an early listen using the Shazam app on the post to get a preview of the record. André 3000, Big Sean, Travis Scott, Nelly, and Killer Mike also made feature cameos in the clip.

“Dope” will be the first single for T.I.’s upcoming album titled; Dime Trap. The Grand Hustle founder also inked a deal with Roc Nation and Tidal to exclusively release this new LP. T.I. recently spoke about his new home in an interview with DJ Whoo Kid.

“There will be some exclusive components, but this is an album that’s dedicated to my core fans,” he said. “The people who went out there the first week Trap Muzik came out, so I’m basically dedicating this album to them and making the music that I know they want to hear me make. So I know those people all of them can’t necessarily afford TIDAL. So we will have some exclusive content and exclusive components. I don’t know if the entire album will be exclusive. The video for “Dope” will be a TIDAL exclusive, but the wait is nearly over,” T.I. said. The video will be a four-day exclusive on the platform.

Harris also spoke on the nature of the single, “It features Marsha Ambrosius, and it gives me great pleasure to say I was fortunate enough to be allowed the opportunity to sample the great, legendary Aaliyah’s song. And it makes me feel good to help keep the legacy of Aaliyah alive for today’s generation, the people who weren’t necessary around to witness her greatness.” The35-year-old emcee said.

In February, T.I. said that Dime Trap is coming “sooner than you think” so let’s get ready as we prepare for this hot summer.
