]]> Following the top-of-the-year drop “Got Muscle” comes a new single from D.C.’s GoldLink titled “Zulu Screams,” which sees assistance from Maleek Berry and Bibi Bourelly. Add in last year’s “Got Friends” with Miguel, and I’m really hoping there’s a new album closer to release than we think (his last project, the well-received At What Cost dropped back in 2017).

]]> Ikes2It’s no secret that Ikes will let you know that he undoubtedly feels he is the “Prince of Pop Culture”. With such a bold declaration comes his latest video, “Let It Go,” which sees the rapper sprawling over a heavy-thumping beat, while shouting the song’s title. With Maleek Berry’s production imprint, the UK MC continues to carve out his place, delivering some upbeat, charismatic verses: “I’m a work in progress I know this cause I get no rest… Man I’ve been so consistent they bout to run out of options.” Set against black-and-white imagery, the visual, courtesy of Sheridan De Myers is a revelation of sorts. It couples well with the music: atop the beat, Ikes‘ grimey flow roars out, serving as an forewarning to whomever may want to seize his title.
