Ever since the successful 2011 release of his debut album Blue Slide Park, it’s been nothing but greatness for Mac Miller. The Pittsburgh rapper became the first independent act since ’95 to top the Billboard 200 with his debut album and now, he’s taking his career to the next level.

Miller took a few minutes backstage during Odd Future‘s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival to speak to The FADER about his biggest career move up to date: signing a $10 million deal with Warner Bros. Mac explained why he’s taking his career & his “Most Dope” label to the next level:

It just makes sense for where I’m at right now and where I can possibly go. I would like to see what it’s like to have those resources and have that reach. I don’t want to solely exist on the Internet — not that I do, but there’s a whole world out there of things to do that’s not Twitter, that’s not Instagram to get the record out.
