Amid the tragic death of legendary singer/artist Prince, the world continues to mourn. The Game chose to channel his condolences, memories and feelings into a song.

“Rest In Purple” is an ode to the legacy of the Purple Rain God. Lorine Chia beautifully laces the hook as Game reflects on his own life, death and never taking loved ones for granted all while referencing Prince’s catalog with clever wordplay. The California rapper also shared his feelings via Instagram about the untimely death of such an influential artist.

“Prince was such a huge inspiration to my life from a child watching #PurpleRain til the time I met him at Universal Music in 2006…. I was a fan then & I am a fan now ! His death was untimely & tragic,”

]]>  Prior to a nationally televised appearance alongside Jeezy, soulful songstress Lorine Chia has been maintaining a relatively low profile, but apparently for good reason.

Teaming up with producer Slade Da Monsta, the Cleveland singer, who now calls Atlanta home has released her new EP, cleverly titled ONO.MATO.POEIC.

Just over 20 minutes in length, ONO.MATO.POEIC is nothing less than a sonic excursion, with Slade’s production bringing out the best in Lorine, thus far. Take a listen below, and if you’re already a Lorine Chia fan, share the joy of her return.
