]]> Ace Cosgrove stands firmly behind his message on ‘Lord Have Mercy.’ The journey for Ace Cosgrove has been a steady, incremental accession from rapper to artist and ‘Lord Have Mercy’ gives us a first hand look at his growth. From projects like ‘UsvsRobots,’ ‘ThatNewNew,’ and his latest body of work, ‘Baby Need Food,’ ‘Lord Have Mercy’ is an uplifting ode to positivity and self-actualization; A musical entry that connects the realties of Ace’s world with the mystique behind omnipotence. The Garren-produced, wildly-uptempo sound matches Ace’s unorthodox approach lyrically, mixing jazzy elements, a gospel feel, and grass-roots Hip-Hop detail which makes ‘Lord Have Mercy’ nearly impossible to categorize. (Not unlike the majority of his music) Maryland’s Ace Cosgrove has a great understanding of how to put a record together that really connects. ‘LHM’ tackles God, materialism, tragedy, victory, and the idea behind growing at your own rate and time and that’s exactly what he’s doing.
