Lil Wayne’s 2015 record Free Weezy Album will celebrate its five year anniversary on July 4, and to celebrate the record is finally available outside of TIDAL.

When FWA dropped, it was only available to stream on TIDAL. Now it’s up on both Spotify and Apple Music for the first time, but it’s arrived with a somewhat different tracklist. “He’s Dead,” the James Brown-sampling “I Feel Good,” “Without You” featuring Bibi Bourelly, and “Thinking Bout You” are missing. Originally released in 2015, the 15-song FWA — Wayne’s 11th studio effort — featured guest appearances by Wiz Khalifa, Young Jeezy, Cory Gunz, Black Uhuru’s Junior Reid and singer/songwriter Jake Troth. The re-release, which dropped today via Young Money Records/Republic Records, includes 13 of the original tracks, along with the bonus song “We Livin’ Like That.”

Stream Free Weezy Album below; it’s got appearances from Jeezy, Wiz Khalifa, Cory Gunz, Capito, Hoodybaby, and more, plus production from London on da Track, Infamous, Cool & Dre, and others.

When it comes to putting out hit music, artists are usually on the forefront utilizing their talent to keep our toes tapping; but without the help of managers like June Jonez a lot of our faves may have gone unnoticed.

By managing the talents of London On Da Track, Derez De’Shon, and G Baby, Jonez has proven he has the experience to cultivate who’s next up in the music industry. By utilizing his experience in the game, Jonez and his label, Executive Decisions, have raised the bar. With the success of his new signees, Jonez has solidified being the mastermind behind these two artists making sure that their next move is their best move.

Although his label is on the rise, Jonez doesn’t take his position for granted. In regards to how he got his start in music, Jonez says that it was his love for music and wanting to change lives that helped him cultivate his label.

”I love being a music executive probably more than most,” June Jonez said. “Being able to help change lives and make dreams come true through music, it’s a beautiful thing that I always knew I was destined to do.”

In regards to what he has on the agenda for his artists in 2020, Jonez states that he’s focused on breaking more underground artists.

”2020 is a big year for the label,” Jonez continued. “[We are] Launching a new record label along with releasing New Artist like GBaby & Quantrelle through the label and a roster of new artists, it’s an exciting time.”

Despite being new to the game overall, Jonez has a few words of advice for those trying to break into the music business.

”Everything is going digital and music is getting younger and younger. It’s a gift and a curse,” June Jonez said. “You used to have to be validated somewhat before people heard you. Now u can go online and drop music and ppl from all around the world can hear it. Everyone has to be able to adjust to the change. Were able to get music out much faster than we were able to back in the day.”

The Love and Hip-Hop star Sincere Show has released his debut EP The Greatest Show On Earth early this week. Produced by heavy hitter London On Da Track, this 6-track masterpiece Showcases this emcee’s music like never before.

As Show is known for being a reality tv star, his music is just as impressive as his on camera charisma. You will hear this budding rapper talking about being in love, racking in the dough, and leveling up. One song that stand out on this release is the opening track titled “Handsome”. His unique sound and creativity comes full circle on this song.

Having London On Da Track produce his debut effort was pure genius. Track’s attention to detail and authenticity, compliments the Midwest natives raw vocals. One thing that stands out the most, is Show’s diverse word play.

Check out Sincere Show’s debut material below.

“Slime Season” 1,2, and 3 are only seperated by a six-month time span. Young Thug came with the first installment in September, second in November, and now the third installment in March. In between Slime Season 2 and 3, Thugger released his nine-track project I’m Up. In comparison to past Slime Season releases, Thug has cut the track-list in half. Slime Season 2 came equipped with 22 tracks and the first came with 18 tracks. The third installment is cohesively-slimmed to eight songs. Perhaps I’m Up played a factor into it. Nonetheless, the slimmed-down tracklist worked out.

Lyrically, Thug doesn’t do anything out of the ordinary that we don’t expect from him. Always boasting with an unfamiliar confidence, he flaunted it the most on the first track, “With Them.” It’s a song that was first premiered during Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 3 event and left listeners excited for what Thug was planning on future releases. On March 24, Thug released a new single titled “Digits.” Produced by London On Da Track, we received a glance of relativity from topic. The production can be compared to London’s “Power” production, but it has now become a signature in London’s repertoire Taking the theme of living life to the fullest, he provided a well thought-out chorus.

N***a, hustlers don’t stop, they keep goin’
You can lose your life but it gon’ keep goin’
Why not risk life when it’s gon’ keep goin’?
When you die somebody else was born
But at least we got to say we…

Being able to run up a check and spend his money the way he pleases is what we’ve seen Thug do.

The rest of the project moves in the direction we expect, not bringing much of a change from Rich Gang The Tour Pt. 1 to now. However, that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. If it isn’t broke, why fix it? From ad-libs, flow, topics of choice, Thug doesn’t have to change much with his direction.

London On Da Track has been Thug’s go-to producer for quite some time now. Who can deny the love received for their Birman and Rich Homie Quan collaboration (Rich Gang) on Lifestyle? London produced a total of four tracks out of the eight. Mike WiLL Made It produced the opening track, “With Them.” This is not the first time the two have collaborated, as you may have heard “California Rari,” Pacifier” and “Throw Sum Mo.” Ricky Racks has seen heightened-success with his production on Thug’s beloved “Bestfriend” track, which appeared on the previous Slime Season. Allen Ritter has emerged as an elite producer over the last year, also producing material for Travi$ Scott.

Previously working with all of the producers in the past, the chemistry was not that hard to form, we can assume. The only variation is the absence of Metro Boomin and 808 Mafia, who can be found on pretty much Thug’s entire catalog of work.

The project only has one feature in Yak Gotti (YSL), for the Allen Ritter-produced song “Slime S**t.”

Cohesively-forming this body of work into eight tracks, gives Young Thug the ultimate victory. With so much music hitting us daily, we don’t feel overwhelmed by Thug’s project. He sticks to producers he’s worked with in the past and doesn’t change the direction he has held many times before.
