The Spaniard-born MC Cresone, otherwise known as Cres, has linked up with renown producer !llmind to drop an ill video, “No Matter What“. The two have collaborated in the past with New York-based artists such as Skyzoo, Fresh Daily, and more, and are now back with some new material.

The record is off their collaborative album Hybr!d and features another vocalist, Seer (from the collective Z). The visuals themselves are extremely on point from beginning to end— the artists traveled their way down to Mexico to shoot it during the Dia De Los Muertos celebration. The lyrics themselves speak to an artist’s perseverance and loyalty to the grind, while at the same time dismissing any false intruders looking to corrupt pure intentions through the music.

All in all, if you’re looking for some underground videos that actually spew creativity and a hard work ethic, “No Matter What” is the artist putting his best foot forward.

Cres is now temporarily based in New York on promotion for his new album. Check him out at some of NY’s most popular venues in the next coming months.

SmCity is preparing for the release of his upcoming album, Empire Falls, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t focusing on keeping his fans vibing. The rapper has been putting out hit tracks like, “New Spiritual,” and now he is back with the single, “Cinematic Moment.” The !llmind produced track has a real old school hip hop flow to it and of course, SmCity spits some hardcore bars over the beat. Visual artist and rapper Naturel has just come out of the woodwork with a new track for “Let Us Prey,” produced by !llmind. The cover art, two skeleton hands poised in prayer, was made by Naturel himself. The rapper takes charge on this song, calling out the record labels and the critics. A woman’s voice wails ethereally in the background, calling to mind a sad hymnist in a chapel. The whole effect is vaguely blasphemous and totally raw.

Boaz raps hard in the visuals for “Like This.” The track was produced by !llmind and the video was directed by Matt Meehan. Smoothly moving from one angle to another, the video shows the MC spitting bars as he casually stands in front of a fire. Real Name, No Gimmicks Vol. 2 drops next week.

They say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and in the case of Rahzel Jr. it is quite the truth. Rahzel Jr. is the son of the legendary beat boxer, Rahzel of The Roots, and it is plain obvious that he got all his talents from his father. The young artist has just released his newest track, “The Culture,” a tribute to the hip hop culture. The single has a smooth flow with some ill production by !llmind.
