42 years ago today, one of the greatest producers in Hip-Hop was born; James Dewitt Yancey, better known as J Dilla. Celebrating his life and his contributions to the genre, South Florida emcee Cherele, liberates a new freestyle over Dilla’s popular “Life” instrumental.

Even in his death, it’s awesome to see J Dilla still influencing the culture like he does. Press play on “Life(time)”, and continue keeping his legacy alive through Hip-Hop.

As many of you already know, Lifetime’s Aaliyah biopic did not sit well with most that watched it. Prior to the film debuting, many had expressed that Aaliyah deserved more than just a lifetime movie and even Timbaland spoke on the topic. Aaliyah’s family did not participate in the making of the film and did not provide music for the film either.

Once the film premiered on Saturday, it turned into the laughingstock of social media and Timbaland made sure to express how he felt. This morning, he hit up Hot 97 to discuss his point of view. Check out the audio above and let us know what you think!
