Lewis Allen brings us two new records. “La Maquina” is a sparse interlude that finds Allen detailing his bad qualities, before the record desolves into a murky, ethereal melt. “Dem Wan Me Murda” is much more upbeat and confident, with some left-field production. New Music: Lewis Allen – “Drugs in Her Eyes”

If you’re unfamiliar with Lewis Allen, you won’t be after this record. The New Jersey rapper drops off a deceptively chilled record, with venomously dark lyrical content. The 808s-heavy track is all about a girl’s decent into drugs that gets more nihilistic with every bar. This feels like something Kanye West could have made if he never got swallowed up by the Kardashian Klan.
