This Labor Day Weekend was real busy for my man Ludacris.  The Atlanta-bred emcee kicked off his annual Luda Day Weekend celebration Thursday in Atlanta, but the stars really came out for Sunday’s celebrity basketball game between Team Luda and Team Bieber.  Several NBA players were on hand to take part, among them were Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul and John Wall.  Later that night, many made their way into midtown Atlanta for the after party at Club Primal.  Sure enough Hotlanta had to show some love for the MMG member, peep the video below to follow Wale from the court to the club.

Soulja Boy released a track last week titled “Lets Be Real“, and it only took forty seconds for someone to find offense.  About ten bars into Soulja’s latest joint he raps:

“F*ck the FBI and the army troops/ fighting for what? Bitch be your own man/I’ll be flying through the clouds with green like I’m Peter Pan.”

Disregarding the inherent irony in Soulja Boy dissing the troops, someone has got to be advising this dude.  Why take shots at the people who protect this country?  We were all down to clown when you dropped that joint back in ’07, but it’s 2011 now.  Let your bars do the talking kid.

Fred A. Flores, a commissioner for the L.A. County Veteran’s Advisory Commission, also had some harsh words for the 21-year old emcee:

“It’s a very offensive statement. Especially with the 10th anniversary of 9/11 coming up.” “He should apologize to ALL armed forces. [The rap] is very irresponsible… especially for a person who is an entertainer for the youth of our country.”

Bad timing my brotha, real bad timing.
