Since jumping on the scene in 2010 with her debut project The Presentation, New York based MC L.atasha A.lcindor, has stayed consistent, releasing two follow-up projects, and performing alongside artists like Big Sean, Nipsey Hussle and more.  Listening to A.lcindor’s music, it’s apparent that she’s not only a dope MC but also a poetic being — some of her rhymes flow almost like spoken word poetry.  She is currently gearing up to release her new EP, Spark, next Wednesday via DJBooth.net. But before doing so, A.lcindor is giving us a taste of what we can expect in the form of “St. Michael.”

The track which was produced by Willie B of TDE fame, is centered around the idea of expression towards higher self.  The video is directed by Krime Scene Films, who also helped with Lupe Fiasco’s controversial “Bad Bitch.”

Philadelphia based MC Ryshon Jones has been making a name for himself slowly but surely with several projects under his belt. After spending a year working on his latest installment In Theory, listeners finally get the full length project presented by The Smoking Section. The project features collaborations with J NICS, L.atasha A.lcindor and more, as well as production from Te-Diggs, Balmy, and more.
