With their forthcoming project Never Come Down set to drop on March 30th, Kooley High delivers their official music video for the LP’s lead single “Ceiling.” Shot by Barrett Phillips. Directed by Barret Phillips and Charlie Smarts.

The visuals for the Kooley High single gives the viewer a closer look at the inspirations behind the track. The leading lady played by Maryam is dealing with stress from her life/job/world news of the day. She channels her energy into a positive space to help redirect her state of mind via songwriting. The “Ceiling” video tells a story of overcoming adversity.

Kooley High Offers Up New Single – “Ceiling”

“Ceiling” is the first single from Kooley High’s anticipated album Never Come Down. The track gives the listener insight into the mind of an artist fighting to make it to another level… and stay there. Charlie Smarts and Tab-One kick infectious flows over the Foolery produced track, while DJ Ill Digitz’ sharp cuts set the vibe and pay homage to legends Outkast. “Ceiling” is sure to build anticipation for this 9th Wonder executive produced album, set to drop on 3/30/18.

“Ceiling” is the song that made Never Come Down a reality. When we were in the studio cooking it up, we knew we were on to something. 9th put his hands on it and made it what it was. He crafted this jawnt. It is the song that the album was built around. -Charlie Smarts

“Elevators” is one of my favorite Outkast joints, so it’s really dope we got to incorporate it on this track. The cuts give it a timeless feel -DJ Ill Digitz

#MusicMonday: Sinopsis – “Alone.Rx” w/ Kooley High

Raleigh NC producer, Sinopsis, revives a throwback Kooley High single, “Alone;” layering it with a new hook and more upbeat instrumentation on “Alone.Rx.” The original was completely made over for Kooley High and his new remix project, “Heights.Rx.” Preservation of the original “Heights” project was key as the group’s lyrical content and message remains untouched.

Sinopsis showcases his versatility as a producer by creating remixes for each single on the project. Take a listen to reworked version of “Alone” and feel free to drop us your thoughts!

Best known for their laid back, super chill sonic offerings and affiliation with fellow rapper Rapsody, Kooley High exclusively premiere their brand new video for “Under The Sun.” Riding through the city on a warm day en route to a pool party, the North Carolina-based crew creatively lets us know that they’ve paid their dues and that they are here to stay.
