<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>In the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, lives this painting by Brazilian street artist <strong>Kobra</strong>. He just wrapped this masterpiece. You can find it on Bedford and North 9th Street.</p>
<p>As you can see, the artist painted images of legendary artists Basquiat and the father of pop-art Warhol. The piece, titled &#8220;Fight for Street Art,&#8221; creates a powerful message amidst the wide range of kaleidoscopic colors.</p>
<p><a href="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/10508454_10103051899096598_334465735_n.jpg"><img decoding="async" data-attachment-id="81986" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2014/10/kobra-creates-fight-for-street-art-piece-in-new-york-city/10508454_10103051899096598_334465735_n/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/10508454_10103051899096598_334465735_n.jpg?fit=960%2C960&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="960,960" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;orientation&quot;:&quot;0&quot;}" data-image-title="10508454_10103051899096598_334465735_n" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/10508454_10103051899096598_334465735_n.jpg?fit=960%2C960&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/10508454_10103051899096598_334465735_n.jpg?fit=640%2C640&amp;ssl=1" class="aligncenter wp-image-81986 size-large" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/10508454_10103051899096598_334465735_n-640x640.jpg?resize=640%2C640" alt="kobra street art nyc" width="640" height="640" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>This raises a question: <em>Is the street art culture dying in the city of New York? </em> With graffiti meccas such as <strong>5 Pointz</strong> coming to an end nearly a year ago, it has concerned the community. We can only hope that one of the primary factors that makes New York culture what it has been for the past 30+ years doesn&#8217;t get stripped away.</p>
