Tomorrow the Knicks will play the Golden State Warriors at The World’s Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden. At 25-37, they’re coming off a 105-102 loss Friday night to Philadelphia 76ers and are playing a Warriors team who are on a two-game losing streak after the recent knee injury to Kevin Durant.

The Knicks, 3-7 in their last ten games, 15-16 at home and 10-21 on the road, squandered a double-digit lead in the second half, a potential game winner from Carmelo Anthony and a potential tying 3-pointer from Courtney Lee. “We play the same way throughout the course of the game and then teams make adjustments. (But) we’re still playing the same way,” Anthony said after Friday’s night’s game.

One former Knick shared words of encouragement for the struggling team: Earl ‘The Pearl’ Monroe. “Well you have to stay the course,” Monroe said on this weeks episode of the Scoop B Radio Podcast.

Check Out Earl ‘The Pearl’ Monroe Catching Up With Scoop B Radio

A four time NBA All Star, NBA Champion and the league’s 50 Greatest Players, Monroe wants to see the Knicks get back to their glory days, but knows it takes time. “You know more than likely when you look back on the history of the Knicks, in the last ten to fifteen years it’s just constant change and you come in to having four or five guys playing together and then you are trading. Stick with what you’ve got and let it mature into a winning team.”

Monroe also talked about a battery of other topics on the Scoop B Radio podcast like his view on AAU basketball, which is significant. Retired NBA player, Kobe Bryant, who entered the NBA straight out of high school expressed his displeasure with AAU basketball stating: “I hate it because it doesn’t teach our players how to play the right way, how to think the game, how to play in combinations of threes.”

Monroe’s sentiments were similar: “We have seen a change in what basketball is and what it means to people,” he said. “And I think that in a nut shell makes a big difference in terms of just basketball in general.”

“You know I always thought American basketball was strong. I felt as the game started here and I never really felt as though we should have pros play at the Olympics but be that as it may AAU you know takes guys and they really use the talent of the guys as opposed to teaching the guys. Its interesting that you find today that you see a team like the Knicks and [last season] Coach Fisher talks about teaching guys things at the pro level. So that leads you to believe that as guys come up from junior high or high school or what not they are not getting the same type of teaching as we got coming up and I know Kobe might be a little right in what he says but the same time the game has changed. It has gotten faster you don’t have centers the way you used to you got everybody that is basically a forward or a guard today so you know the scope of basketball is a lot different and obviously everything has to change.”

Earl ‘The Pearl Monroe was a silky smooth ball handler and scored with ease. For those tardy to the party, check out his moves and grooves.

NuLa Entertainment has been making major waves as of late, standing out on the scene with their premiere artist Corey Finesse, who’s breakthrough single “Vagabond” has been steadily building momentum, even landing a remix with Dave East. More recently, Corey Finesse joined fellow NuLa Ent artist Howie Dodat in his music video for “Gossip,” which was well received online and on airwaves.

Today, NuLa Ent showcases another artist on their roster, Marc Maverick. The Manhattan-born rhymer sets himself apart with his dark musical aesthetic and is sure to be a fan favorite amongst the east coast rap scene. For his debut single, “Derek Fisher,” Maverick is joined by label mate Corey Finesse on the Ty Real produced track and the pair show out as only they could. Set in Spring Valley, NY’s notorious Hill Top neighborhood, Nu La Ent come out in droves along with Fatboy SSE for the official visual for “Derek Fisher”
