<div dir="auto">Alex Izquierdo was the third youngest in a family of 10 kids. Born and raised in South Los Angeles, in the middle of gang warfare. Everyone he met or knew were gang members, which eventually led me to gang bang as well.  As a kid growing up where and how he did, Klever always wanted to be like my older brothers.  He think he sensed the stuff they used to do was “bad” or “wrong”, but he was taught their ways, they were my teachers and I adopted their patterns.</div>
<div dir="auto"></div>
<div dir="auto">One day his older bother Toker asked me to rap a chorus on a song called “Till the Casket Drops” which hit over a million views on Youtube.  It was the first time I’d rapped in my life.  It was that day that he became Klever from Brownside and entered the rap game.</div>
<p><strong><br />
RESPECT.</strong>: Where are you from?</p>
</div>
</div>
<div>
<div>
<div dir="auto"><strong>Klever</strong>: Im from Los Angeles, Calif.</div>
</div>
</div>
<div dir="auto"></div>
<div dir="auto"><strong>RESPECT.</strong>: What value do you stand on and what matters to you?</div>
<div>
<div dir="auto"><strong>Klever</strong>: Loyalty is one of my top values that i stand on, what matters to me the most besides my family is for my young fans to know that i am not glorifying this gang life. Hoping they see how grim my life has been.</div>
<div dir="auto"></div>
<div dir="auto"><strong>RESPECT.</strong>: Who inspires you musically?<br />
<strong>Klever</strong>:  Besides my big brother Toker i really mess with Eazy E &amp; Tupac.</div>
<div dir="auto"><strong>RESPECT.</strong>: When did you first discover hip-hop?</div>
<div dir="auto"><strong>Klever</strong>:  I discovered hip hop wayback since i was a kid. I was one of the youngest from a big family and thats all they use to bump in the house.</div>
<div dir="auto">
<p><strong>RESPECT.</strong>: It’s a lot of history and connections in hip hop, how were you discovered by Eazy E and what role do you have to play in the game?</p>
<div></div>
</div>
<div dir="auto"><strong>Klever</strong>: My big brother Toker was the one that was discovered by Eazy E . I was a lil boy when i met Eazy. I’m Tokers little brother I’m  one of the members from the Brownside group, I&#8217;m that clever idea guy that will always keep it gangster.</div>
<div dir="auto"><strong>RESPECT.</strong>: What are you currently working on?</div>
<div dir="auto"><strong>Klever</strong>: Ever since my bro Toker passed away last year I stopped working on a lot of projects including music but now im back on it, working on shooting a Brownside documentary &amp; a new album with Wicked also from Brownside.</div>
</div>
<div dir="auto"><strong>RESPECT.</strong>: What keeps you going and coming back to hip-hop?</div>
<div dir="auto"><strong>Klever</strong>: At first i didnt want to be a rapper it just never interested me until i saw how doors started opening for me being in this rap game. Besides that now i feel like i have to finish what my brother started and keep dropping street realness.</div>
<div dir="auto"><strong>RESPECT.</strong>: Who would you like to work with?</div>
<div dir="auto"><strong>Klever</strong>: I would like to work with people with the same mindset as mine.</div>
<div dir="auto"><strong>RESPECT.</strong>: What’s upcoming in 2020?</div>
<div dir="auto"><strong>Klever</strong>: This year im gonna drop some real gangster projects.</div>
<div dir="auto"><strong>RESPECT.</strong>: What does RESPECT. mean to you?</div>
<div dir="auto">
<p><strong>Klever</strong>: RESPECT means everything to me. Nowadays respect and trust is very rare but im that one that will show respect to those who show me.</p>
