Kipp Stone Drops “God Up” [LISTEN]

East Cleveland’s Kipp Stone is back at with his newest track, “God Up.” The Blokhead Johnny-produced track, has a dope beat to it and the lyrics are definitely tough. Kipp raps about stepping up your game socially and mentally. The looming beat pulls you in but Kipp’s rhymes are what keep you entranced.

If you’re unfamiliar with Kipp Stone, then do your research. The Closed Sessions signee, recently released an ode to Cleveland, “1833,” and is working on his debut project, The Grand Design. Kipp is signed to Closed Sessions along with Kweku Collins, Jamila Woods, oddCouple and more.

Kipp Stone – “Cult Classic” (Video)

For Kipp Stone, it’s not about the fame and flashing lights that usually come with being great at what you do; it’s about perfecting your craft, it’s about the art form, and most importantly, it’s about creating something that will always be remembered, no matter how popular it is.

In his gritty new video “Cult Classic”, Kipp sets up shop in his East Cleveland neighborhood, keeping things simple, yet sending a strong message about who he is and why he does what he does.

As someone who lived in East Cleveland at one point in my life, I salute the vivid authenticity with which the neighborhood is depicted, and Blokhead Johnny did a sick job of capturing EC in its essence, while simultaneously staying in sync with the record, itself.

Cleveland hip-hop crooner and Biz3 newcomer Kipp Stone just signed to Chicago’s hip hop indies (Closed Sessions) and has a new song to celebrate the signing. “I’ve Seen It All” is produced by Boathouse, intro’s Kipp’s deep cadence as he lays down rhymes about growing up in East Cleveland. Stay tuned for more music to come from the 23-year-old rapper and check the new track below.

Cleveland’s Kipp Stone has not one, but two projects on the way with The Grand Design and Dead Politicians. In the meantime, Kipp hits the streets of his hometown to give us a brand new visual, for the Jon Holman-directed “30FTALL”, a joint he dropped not too long ago.

Kipp Stone is picking up some steam, gathering a lot of momentum heading into his upcoming releases. It would be a good idea to get hip to him while it’s still early.

Although we don’t have an exact release date just yet, we do know that Cleveland emcee Kipp Stone is preparing his upcoming release, Dead Politicians. With a glimpse of what we can expect from the project we get “30 Feet Tall”, produced by Blokhead Johnny. While the beat is fairly simple, it gives Kipp just what he needs, as you are taken on a lyrical rollercoaster for the duration of this song.
