Noreaga is back. The Hip-Hop legend from Lefrak City has been taking over media for much of the last couple of years…given some audio drops here and there, it was only a matter of time before he delivered a solid new album for the masses. Titled 5E, the Mass Appeal-released offering sees 11 tracks and additional appearances from many of N.O.R.E.‘s more closely-aligned Hip-Hop peers — Fabolous, Fat Joe, Jadakiss, Wyclef — alongside The-Dream, Pharrell Williams, Tory Lanez and more.

G Herbo & Southside – Swervo

Shout out to the (presumed) old-school Hip-Hop-inspired artwork. Following Humble Beast, Chicago’s G Herbo heads south to Atlanta, joining forces with 808 Mafia’s own Southside on the joint effort Swervo. The union was broken down by Herbo via Complex:

Southside, who produced the whole album, came up with the name… We would hook up in Atlanta, Miami, or L.A. and just hop in $200K whips, swerv thru traffic—really just have fun and enjoy life—then go to the lab and capture that feeling. It’s that vibe.

Throw in features from Chief Keef, 21 Savage, Juice WRLD and Young Thug (not to mention, Herbo’s fire-starting “Who Run It” freestyle), and you have a solid project you’ll be vibing to all weekend.

Kingpen Slim – Trapper’s Delight

One of D.C.’s premiere lyricists, Kingpen Slim is clearly just having fun at this point. Following the nostalgic Life After Doubt, the Uptown emcee delivers a new EP titled Trapper’s Delight (named so for the project’s Trap-inspired sound), which sees 9 cuts and additional appearances from I Am Northeast and Lambo Anlo). Both lovers and haters of the current reigning Rap flow will appreciate this one.

Santigold – I Don’t Want: The Gold Fire Sessions

Two years after the release of 99¢, Philly’s Santigold connects with Mixpak‘s Dre Skull for a new project titled I Don’t Want: The Gold Fire Sessions. She describes the Dancehall effort with Pitchfork:

These are the issues on my mind right now. Just throw it down… Don’t be too precious about the lyrics. That’s why I called it The Gold Fire Sessions, because it’s a collection of songs from the moment.

Denzel Curry – TA13OO

Following the release of his well-received Life After Doubt project, which was inspired by hip-hop classics Life After Death and Reasonable Doubt, and more recently released Biggie Smalls tribute “What BIG Say,” Kingpen Slim switches up the pace with his latest club banger “Stash.” The song finds the D.C. based emcee back on his bullsh#t just in time for hoody season,

Known for his fashion sense in the DMV area, Slim also doubles as a writer for some of the industry’s elite. Now armed with a new collection of creatives by his side, affectionately referred to as New Wxve, he plans on bringing a new energy and movement to the culture.

For his latest release, the DC native resurfaces in a big way as he unloads his best body of work to date, Life After Doubt. The 14-track album pulls us in immediately upon hitting play thanks to Slim’s incredible lyrical ability that allows him to paint vivid images through his storytelling. As far as features go, Kingpen Slim gathers contributions from the likes of Roc Mikey, Jus Paul, and Villz, while production comes courtesy of J Buttah, Mark Henry, Lil Lody, and more.
