<p>On Saturday, it was reported that actor, Adam West, died from leukemia at the age of 88.</p>
<p>West had a long career in television as an actor but was most notbaly known for his role as the Caped Crusader alongside Burt Ward’s Robin in the 1960s <em>Batman</em> television series.</p>
<p>On a personal note, as a kid, I watched re-runs of Batman on local WPIX, channel 11 in New York City. What made the show cool was the music.</p>
<p>For starters, the show&#8217;s theme song was<em> THE BEST!</em></p>
<p><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/VSaDPc1Cs5U" width="560" height="315" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe></p>
<p><strong>One of my favorite songs on the shows series was Batgirl&#8217;s theme.</strong><em> It&#8217;s catchy! </em></p>
<p><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/aX5zNM_KA8I" width="560" height="315" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe></p>
<p id="E9"><span id="E10">As a viewer of the show and not in tune with the production side of things, one&#8217;s got to wonder:<em> Is the music being piped into speaker on the set while taping scenes?</em> </span></p>
<p><span id="E10">To that, we turn to Burt Ward. Appearing on Scoop B Radio, Ward who starred as Robin, Adam West&#8217;s co-star on the &#8217;60s Batman series, broke it down. </span></p>
<p><strong>Check Out Burt Ward &amp; Brandon &#8216;Scoop B&#8217; Robinson Talk About the <a href="http://www.scoopbradio.com/2017/06/audio-scoop-b-radio-overtime-f-burt-ward-pt-2-2016/">Batman</a>&#8216;s musical selection</strong></p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" src="http://www.scoopbradio.com/?powerpress_embed=1210-podcast&amp;powerpress_player=mediaelement-video" width="400" height="400" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>What&#8217;s the deal Boy Wonder? Was there music? &#8220;<span id="E12">There was some played,&#8221; Burt Ward told me on Scoop B Radio. </span></p>
<blockquote><p><span id="E12">&#8220;There was a scene where King Tut had used some kind of a pebble torture on Batman on his villainous girlfriend because she was not being honorable, or whatever. And they got them to do this bat dance and played the music. They would play music when it was appropriate but then again the theme music that was added later it’s called sweetening it when you kind of put the music with it and make it look really spiffy.&#8221;</span></p></blockquote>
<p><strong>The Dance Ward Was Referring To Was The Batsui</strong><br />
<iframe loading="lazy" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ajqrCl_14fI" width="560" height="315" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Lastly, Eartha Kitt took over the role of Catwoman for the third and final season of Batman.</strong> She replaced Julie Newmar.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.66batmania.com/bios/villains/catwoman-eartha-kitt/">As per 66Batmania.com: </a></p>
<p>According to writer, Stanley Ralph Ross: <em>“The reason Eartha Kitt replaced Julie Newmar during the third season was because Julie was doing a movie at the time. I think it was “McKenna’s Gold.&#8221;</em></p>
<p><strong>Check Out Burt Ward &amp; Brandon &#8216;Scoop B&#8217; Robinson&#8217;s Discussion About<a href="http://www.scoopbradio.com/2017/06/audio-scoop-b-radio-overtime-f-burt-ward-pt-2-2016/"> Eartha Kitt</a></strong></p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" src="http://www.scoopbradio.com/?powerpress_embed=1213-podcast&amp;powerpress_player=mediaelement-video" width="400" height="400" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Batman and Catwoman had a thing. However, according to Bat-Mania, sexual attentions between Catwoman and Batman were no more when Eartha took on the role, because Eartha was an African-American and Adam West was not – was not suitable for the 1960s. Instead the idea was to create a love interest between Batman and Batgirl.</p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/nbPo6zekYxw" width="560" height="315" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>On the relationship with Kitt, Ward said</strong>: &#8220;Well there was never any real romantic relationship. There was innuendo and insinuation but Batman and Robin were so pure that they would never partake in that.&#8221;</p>
