Broolynite artist KOTA recently dropped his drowsy, but subtly creepy track, “Customs.” The first single off his upcoming untitled project, the producer/writer utilizes a “Twisted Nerve” sample, aka the infamous Kill Bill whistle, to help listeners connect immediately while illustrating imagery of childhood nostalgia and dark fears of the future.

DJG returns from his Paris Beuller collab “Hustla” with the Tarantino themed new visuals for his latest, “Kill Bill.”
DJG and his cohort Kash collaborate on an ode to different iterations of greenery with help from DJ Cheech’s reworked “Kill Bill” theme. The moody blue visual is the second release from DJ’s forthcoming project “Stuck In My Ways,” arriving later this summer.

We challenged someone to rap over Isaac Hayes‘ “Run Fay Run” from the Kill Bill soundtrack and Layne Harper rose to the occasion, using the legendary track to allude to the source material as well as declare some grievances against the police and the IRS. Admittedly, he had Luke Witherspoon III muddle the beat a little bit, which wasn’t exactly what we had in mind when we initially made the challenge, but shame on us for not specifying and kudos to him for taking a swing.
