“I was the kid who moved to New York to chase his dreams. I was lost looking for answers until I decided that I would have to come up with the answers myself. We’re all just kind of winging life, so no really knows what they are talking about.”

The title track of Khary Durgan’s latest EP Swim Teams finally has a video. Durgans and collaborator Rome Fortune capture the song’s energy with a rooftop performance scene. The New York based MC balances the intensity of his delivery with some light hearted elements in the video. Keep an eye out for lots of balloons and some swanky colour coordinated jackets.

Rapper Khary Durgans is burgeoning on the underground scene. Fresh out with a six-track EP mix Swim Team, the Providence, Rhode Island rapper is upping the ante with a new remix of his song “Peace N Shit,” collaborating with QuESt and Smithsoneon. 

This track is fire – Durgans lyrics flow smooth over the bright, rhythmic melody. Production on this track creates a dreamy soundscape, reminiscent of the hazy adolescent vista created by Frank Ocean on “Super Rich Kids.” Known for his wry sense of humor in his lyricism, Durgans is complemented well by QuESt on “Peace N Shit” equating to joint lyricism that is overall thought provoking.
