His debut mixtape captured the attention of Cinematic Music Group & Smokers Club founder, Jonny Shipes who granted 6th an opening slot on their first show in Toronto. The Smokers Club later hosted 6th’s sophomore release, “Go Green”. His interview with Noisey sums up who he is as a persona and an artist: “His old school, THC-infused rhymes have received praise from a city that normally hates its native talent, and he’s also attracted out-of-town tastemakers, and specifically Jonny Shipes—a New Yorker who founded the Smokers Club tour and online paraphernalia store. Shipes would go on to be instrumental in the rise of Joey Bada$$ and the Pro Era movement, leading some to wonder if he transplanted some of the Torontonian’s ideas into a fledgling New York rap collective. Toronto’s BKR$CLB was less nostalgic and more splintered in their content, but the parallels between Pro Era were there. Boom-bap may have originated in New York, but its resurgence can be directly tied to the young rappers of Toronto in 2010—a full two years before Joey’s “Survival Tactics” caught fire online.”

His latest drops, produced mostly by BKR$CLB architect Raz Fresco, are a re-affirment of what his motto has been from the jump when speaking on his last project NorthernPlayalisticGetHighMuzik “everyone in the BKR$CLB helps each other and pushes each other. Raz Fresco produced this entire album with me. We give each other pointers, lyrically and production wise. Every time anyone in the Club creates something, that propels the rest of us and pushes us to be better.”

Atlanta’s very own Key! is back again with another enjoyable release; he links up with the self-proclaimed ‘Radio Killa’ Lil Tracy for “On Deck,” a catchy new song that has summertime vibes all over it.

The collaborators are definitely solidifying their own lanes with another quality release that doesn’t fall short of the Trap-influenced vibes we love to hear. “On Deck” producer CaptainCrunch made the perfect beat for these two artists to explain their different take of some perfect ‘on deck’ scenarios.

Overall, this is nothing new for these two rising artists. Throughout the Summer, look to hear more music from both Key! and Lil Tracy…could this lead to a joint project?

The A$AP Mob is back at it with new music. A$AP Rocky & A$AP Twelvvy come together with Key! for “Crazy Brazy” off of the upcoming Mob’s ‘Cozy Tapes, Vol 1‘ compilation album.

Produced by Wavy Wallace, the rappers let everyone know that they got too much on their mind, too much in their head… so don’t talk to them crazy. The song was first debuted a few days ago on MTV Labs, and now the official studio album is out for everyone to listen to.

Flacko was just announced as the Creative Director for MTV Labs, in which he debuted the song at a launch event in New York City. But not only is he taking on the job as a Creative Director, but he has also been spotted working on his third studio album.

The ‘Cozy Tapes Vol. 1’ currently does not have a release date, but according to the “Fashion Killa,” the album is done and inspired the late A$AP Yams.

Yesterday, Atlanta producer and beat maker, Sonny Digital released a free and brand new EP titled G.O.A.T., through his personal SoundCloud account.

Sonny Digital has spent much of the last few years solidifying his role within Atlanta’s budding music scene and the hip-hop industry as a whole. Sonny Digital has had significant experience with success, working with well known artists such as 50 Cent, Travis Scott, Wiz Khalifa and many more.

Now that Sonny Digital has established himself as one of the most reliable “hit-makers” in Hip-Hop, he’s recently turned his focus on his own vocals. Earlier this year Sonny Digital began giving fans a sample of his own rapping skills with tracks like “50 On My Wrist.” After mostly positive feedback regarding the decision, it appears Sonny Digital is beginning to stretch his wings even further with the release of a full EP.

The new EP contains 8 tracks in total and also features appearances from Swae Lee, Key!, and Black Boe. Three days before G.O.A.T was released, Sonny Digital dropped a new single featuring Juicy J and Young Sizzle which can be streamed here.

It appears Digital’s current relationships with some of the industry’s biggest stars could prove to be quite beneficial if a solo career is what the young ATLien is working towards. While the EP shows a lot of potential, fans are hoping this won’t mean a decline in the “hit making” production fans have come to expect from Sonny Digital.

There’s been some room in between releases for Key! It was in February when he dropped his ‘Keyonce‘ EP. Usually, his extended plays leave the listener wanting more. On his latest project, that shouldn’t be an issue whatsoever.

‘Before I Scream’ comes equipped with 11 bangers. The production and features get mixed up in the scene on this one, combining for an overall good listen. Childish Major, RizzooRizzo, Skepta, ManManSavage, and Lil Yachty, are featured on ‘Before I Scream.’

Knowing Key!, he’ll have more work for us in the near future. Traveling back to Atlanta, he went into the studio Sunday night to do some music with frequent collaborator, Jace of Two-9. Their work together will most likely see the light of day on ‘No One is Ready 4.’ Production wise, Slade Da Monsta tears this tape apart with his production. Encouragement to listen to the project yourself is given at this point.

The artwork catches its influence from Dragon Ball Z.
