Kevin Kent is an American rapper and comedian who has earned viral success a number of times through Worldstar and social media .

Early April, Kevin made it to rapper Tory Lanez page and gained over 2 million views in 24hrs with a viral video showcasing Tory’s new single “Freaky”. Kevin just dropped off his new album titled Poison and the cover track has a ridiculous video shot and edited by Kevin himself.

Kevin is no newcomer to the game tho once having a record deal with DJ Statik Selektah’s Label (Showoff) in 2014. Kevin has worked with big artist such as Waka Flocka, Maino, Action Bronson, & many more. The California native is ready to show the world what the game has been missing. With versatility, Kevin easily shows why he deserves to be mentioned with the greats on his upcoming album.

RESPECT.: What does it to take to become an entertainer through your eyes and experience?

Kevin Kent: First off thank you for this opportunity. I think in order to become an entertainer you must have drive within yourself and continue to create content. Content is KING!

RESPECT.: What came first you as a passion the comedy or the music?

Kevin Kent: I’d have to say music was my first love , but acting was never too far behind for me

RESPECT.: What happened to your deal with Statik Selektah?

Kevin Kent: Me and Statik I think we’re just in different states at the time and it kinda put a strain on our relationship, but I thank him for all the opportunities and he’s still my brother to this day.

RESPECT.: Who are some of your favorite artist in the game right now?

Kevin Kent: My favorite artist at the moment would have to be Drake, J. Cole, DaBaby, and myself of course .

RESPECT.: How did you get connected with Tory

Lanez?

Kevin Kent: I actually use to DM Tory back in 2011 on twitter and always had a knowledge of him way before his fame . One day I decided to make a viral video featuring his song “Freaky” and he posted it on his IG page and it got over 2 million views .

RESPECT.: You have any album dropping later this year, Poison? What can we expect?

Kevin Kent: I just released my album Poison two weeks ago and it’s been doing great. I’m planning on releasing a new single in a week or so, but I may hold off until August for my new album, Art of War.

RESPECT.: Who is Kevin Kent?

Kevin Kent: Kevin Kent is an actor, comedian , rapper, writer, director, editor, engineer, graphic designer, father. I’ve been doing everything myself ,so I don’t have to out source and wait on anyone to get my stuff heard and seen. I have the ability to write a song record it myself, do the video, make the cover art, and get it on iTunes and release it all from the comfort of my home. All within 24-48 hrs.

RESPECT.: Who would you like to collaborate with in the future?

Kevin Kent: I‘d love to collab with Kendrick Lamar or J. Cole. I’ve met both of them and they are genuine people.

RESPECT.: What can we expect from you in 2019?

Kevin Kent: 2019 my goals are to hit 50k following before the year is up and to drop one more album. Also my goal is to sign to a major label or agency.

RESPECT.: What does RESPECT. mean to you?

Kevin Kent: The word RESPECT. to me means you have respect for yourself and the people around you and to cherish this thing called life. With respect you don’t miss any opportunities the Lord has put in front of you.
