The annual Met Gala is known to be a night of fashion and last night did not disappoint.  The big event is always star-studded and a night to remember.  From Rihanna‘s 2015 canary-yellow Guo Pei couture gown, that trended for days to Beyonce leaving everyone breathless with her 2015 all sheer Givenchy Haute couture by Riccardo Tisci that slayed for days.  This past Monday, May 2nd was no different; there was some of best to some of not so best fashion that hit the red carpet.  The fellas were out, the couples were out, and the ladies were definitely ready to get the night turned up with the year’s theme “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.  Check out some of the electrifying moments of the night:

Overall, the 2016 Met Gala was another successful year of fashion that will be talked about years to come!

Scandal Star, Kerry Washington has made ABC home, as she signed an overall deal with the studio.

She will be working with ABC drama Series, ABC Studios and ABC Signature Studios. The two year contract was set for her new company, Simpson Street. The company of the name was given after the street Washington’s mother grew up on in the Bronx.

Simpson Street launched its first project with an HBO Original movie entitled Confirmation. The TV-movie starred Washington as Anita Hall, which received great reviews and ABC Signature was a part of it as well.

“I believe strongly in the importance of having a seat at the table, which makes starting this production company thrilling for me,” Washington said. “It’s an honor to be at a point in my career when I can help generate projects that that are exciting, necessary and truly reflect the world around us. I’m grateful to be on this journey with ABC, a network that remains unparalleled in its commitment to inclusive storytelling.”

According to TheWrap, Kerry will bring in Sharla Sumpter Bridgett as a development executive for the company.

Excited to see what Kerry Washington brings to the table. As we wait on her upcoming projects, Season 5 of Scandal is still on Thursdays and has been renewed for season 6.
