New Music: Austin Royale – “Wanted2013”

Austin Royale has been keeping himself occupied. Fom performing at the SUMMER PLUS+ event to showcasing at The Joint Off 36th & The Clean Slate 704’s “4th Off 36th: World Tour” July 4th festival with Key!, Rashaun Hampton, and more, he has had a very busy summer. Today, he released his track “Wanted2013”, produced by U’Nique Music. Along with releasing a new song, he is set out to be performing with Ken Rebel, Ace Henderson, Fanglife’s J.K. The Reaper, Premier Jones and Rashaun Hampton on September 6th at the Pour House Music Hall in Raleigh, NC. The Durham artist will be dropping a full project in the upcoming fall but as for now, stream the track below.

G4shi Gets Busy On The “Sway In The Morning” Friday Cypher

The Albanian-born, Brooklyn-raised MC G4shi has been making a lot of noise lately. After recently dropping his much-awaited full-length project “4Play“, G4shi has taken to the “Sway In The Morning” show to help promote the new mixtape and spit some verses.

Check the video up above to briefly hear him speak about his roots in Africa, the grassroots approach he’s taken to constructing his fan base, and even get his single “You Want It” (video directed and edited by Jawney Qvest) played on the radio.

“This is your brain if your brain was a yolk / Indica strain and that’s all that she smoke,” Nitty Scott spits like she’s just breaking down basic facts. She might as well be, the instrumental for “Brain On Drugs” alone could turn your bones to dust, but adding this slew of MCs was just overkill. In the best way. Everyone brings it, though the energy goes continually down as the track progresses, with Kris having the most blood-rushing verse. Side note: what does your brain on Ken Rebel look like? We’re keeping a keen eye on the NY weirdo.
