Over the weekend Kemba released a thought provoking music video showcasing the Bronx MC in a alternate universe on a constant loop of systematic racism that eventually puts Kemba on the run for his life in a harsh reality filled music video that we guarantee will provoke the discussion about stereotypes and the role they play in our society. Most of all Kemba hits a core of with his art and we are excited to where he will take us in the coming months.

Straight out of the Bronx area, is KEMBA. Formerly know as YC the Cynic, KEMBA is bringing forth some new material for us today. His new album ‘Negus,’ marks is the 25 year-old’s fifth release and will see a digital release on the 22nd of July. There’s no apologizes for his delivery as usual, and that’s what people love most about his music.

KEMBA has no cards to cut for emcee’s who are taking styles from each other and lacking overall original standings. Frank Drake tapped his inner Dilla-insprired cords to pull the production together for this one.

With his forthcoming album, KEMBA is looking to shake up the world around him, as well as his neighborhood.

“Already” follows up the preciously release of “The New Black Theory.” The song gained inspiration from Pharrell’s statements of “over-simplied” judgements. “The New Black doesn’t blame other races for our issues,” Pharrell said. The New Black dreams and realizes the it’s not pigmentation: it’s mentality,” Pharrell said.
