Four of last decade’s musical frontrunners are still creating fire in 2018. In addition to a hilarious Mountain Dew Super Bowl ad campaign, Rap gods Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliott have teamed up with Destiny’s Child alum Kelly Rowland for a new single titled “Get It,” which sees production from Bangladesh. The makings of a chart-topping return for all parties involved.

Vibe to Busta’s latest below; “Get It” is officially out tomorrow (February 2nd).

Kelly Rowland has made quite the name for herself over the years, being a veteran in one of the most talked about and successful girl groups ever; and that success continued to follow as she spread her wings in her own solo career. So, you might ask – Is there anything else the former Destiny’s Child veteran and “Kisses Down Low” singer hopes to accomplish? Well, outside of being a mother; you can now add author to the song bird’s name.

Rowland, who gave birth to son Titan Jewel in 2014, penned a new book titled Whoa, Baby!, which chronicles her experiences and questions after giving birth to her son. Rowland becomes very candid about her boobs and the intense emotions she felt after looking at herself down there for the first time after giving birth.

“I could hardly sit down on a wood chair without letting out a shriek of pain … Had giving birth actually ruined my vagina for life?” she said. “I made the mistake of getting out a mirror and trying to study the situation. Talk about the world’s worst idea! When I finally caught a glimpse of the orifice that was causing me so much pain and sorrow, I almost screamed out loud. That bloody battlefield was my vagina? Was I going to look like that forever? Would Tim ever want to come near that nasty scene again?”

According to People, Rowland stated that after many “after” calls to her OB/GYN Dr. Tristan Bickman, Rowland was informed that most patients seem to have more questions after birth than during birth, and how someone should write a book about it. That comment sparked something in Rowland, who decided to follow the doctor’s suggestion and write a book for moms surrounding the many questions they might have concerning their body post-birth. So, with the help of her doctor, Kelly got to work and started journaling everything that happened to her emotionally, physically, and spiritually after she gave birth.

After spending these past few months concentrating on BET’s talent show, Chasing Destiny, with the resulting girl group June’s Diary, Kelly Rowland is back to focusing on her music career and harnessing a new, unique sound. The songstress, who is also featured on Solange’s impeccable new LP release, A Seat At The Table, serves striking high fashion looks and luscious hair in Schön! Magazine. Accompanied with fantastic art direction, the stunning visuals were Photographed by Ricky Middlesworth and styled in couture looks by Brett Alan Nelson while stunting with an array of ornate hairstyles including a textured blow out, top knot buns, cornrows and pony tails wrapped and coiled by celebrity hair stylist Kim Kimble that accentuate her beauty and charisma. While entranced by her radiant bronzed glow, Rowland discusses fashion and her upcoming cosmetic line for chocolate complexions and new upcoming music with the publication.

In an interview she had back in January, Rowland states, “I’ve recorded 45 songs to be completely honest, the challenge for me right now is solidifying like exactly what sound that is, I have three different sounds on the table.” With one of those sounds being EDM!  “I’m so happy I met David [Guetta] because he put EDM in my blood. It’s a part of my freedom when I’m on stage… so it will definitely be a part of the record – abso-f***ing-lutely.

Rowland describes her advocacy in supporting black artists who are finding their way. “There are black artists — we just have to support them. I’m so proud that people are actually exercising their right to speak up and taking action, but I also think it’s important for government and congress to pay attention. This new generation can be radical and they’re not playing when it comes to their freedom and their lives, which are at stake,” Rowland told Schön! Kelly Rowland isn’t allowing anything to get in her way right now. As the Destiny’s Child star is conquering motherhood, and being a wife, she’s balancing her many hats very well. And while Rowland preps her make-up line, she’s garnering major buzz as well with her hit BET docu-series, Chasing Destiny.  The docu-series airs on Tuesdays at 10pm.

Kelly Rowland returns to her first love with  “Gimme Love” for our ears.  On the uptempo track, which is released with a Seagram’s Escape partnership you hear her begging for a little love.

“It’s great to work with a brand like Seagram’s Escapes that encourages women to let their colors shine, be bold and always take time for themselves. I personally love opening up one of my signature flavors when I’m celebrating, having a fun night with my girlfriends or when I have a quick moment to just unwind.”

Rowland has teamed up with Seagram’s to release two new signature flavors that will be her very own; Pink Pineapple Passion and Orange Sassy Swirl, in which “Gimme Love” is featured in the ads. Hopefully, this musical venture is the preamble to her new album. Rowland’s last solo effort was Talk a Good Game in 2013. “Everything is either ratchet or too much substance. I have to find a middle ground. Right now, it’s super hood and another one is like ohm.” Rowland said of her musical direction.

Kelly Rowland is walking in her destiny!

Kelly Rowland has been one busy woman as of lately.  The Destiny’s Child member has been raising her new baby boy Titan,  along with filming her new BET reality show Chasing Destiny, where female hopefuls compete for a chance to be in a girl singing group.  Now the Grammy Award winning singer has revealed that she will be launching a makeup line created for women of color. With the lack of diversity for women of color in the cosmetic world, Rowland’s line is to aim directly for the ‘chocolate’ ladies.

“My makeup artist Sheika Daley and I are actually starting a makeup line we’re making sure we make, well, we’re starting off with lashes and then we’re going to have it grow for all women, but definitely making sure we have our chocolate girls covered. Gotta get the chocolate girls in there! We have to have that, you know.  I think Iman has done a beautiful makeup line and I want to do it too!”

There still isn’t any word on an actual launch date for Rowland’s make-up line, but in the meantime you can look out for her new reality show and music.
