UPDATE: Chris Brown has quickly responded via his Instagram.

UPDATE #2: Someone else posted the same footage of Soulja’s “encounter” from another angle, which can be seen below…certainly changes the storyline. Soulja also appeared to have updated his Instagram with newer clips, which sees him still hanging with Bloods (specifically, the Fruit Town Pirus, of which Brown is also affiliated). This is getting mad confusing.

Welp, it looks like Hip-Hop has its first L of 2017. In the past 24 hours, Soulja Boy and Chris Brown have been trading shots over social media after Soulja claimed that Brown threatened him over liking one of Karrueche Tran‘s social media posts (which Brown denies). Soon, the two artists were calling for a fade, with Soulja making references to Rihanna and (Brown’s daughter) Royalty and Brown reaching out to boxer Adrien Broner to set up a charity fight; even Karrueche caught some controversial heat from her ex after jumping into the fracas. And then it got worse.

Seemingly only moments before this post was published, Soulja Boy then took to IG Live, boasting and bragging about being able to walk through any neighborhood while smack dab in the middle of what appears to be Los Angeles Bloods territory. It wasn’t long before the “Crank That” rapper got a dose of reality, which can be seen below:

From the looks of it, Soulja tried to put his hands on the wrong person before he was apparently attacked, being relieved of his phone in the process before another individual cuts off the feed. We’re pretty sure Chris Brown will have a response for this, as well as Soulja himself (assuming that he’s okay). In the meantime, you can check out the previous clips between the two artists below.

Yesterday, “Bust It Baby” rapper Plies tweeted “If U Tell A Female Business Just When U Get Mad U A Fuck N*gga….” Even though, Plies didn’t direct it at anyone in particular, Chris Brown caught wind of it and believed it was a subliminal message directed at him. Brown immediately fired back by retweeting the original message and  he decided to follow it up by saying “If no one listens to your music anymore your career is dead blood.” The social media beef didn’t last much longer, it concluded with Plies posting a picture on Instagram and captioning it “Actually, no, my post wasn’t about you, but if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that bitch up & wear it.”

Recently, Chris Brown has been going through a messy public breakup with his girlfriend of the past four years, model, Karrueche Tran. This past weekend, people began speculating that the couple spilt had called it quits, when she posted a heartfelt message on Instagram and began talking about finding the strength within yourself to move on after a bad breakup. Brown confirmed the rumors and decided to air their issues out in the public. He claimed that Tran cheated on him with former arch enemy, Drake, and only visited him once during his four month prison sentence.

Brown has since apologized for dragging his ex’s name through the mud. Yesterday, he posted a picture of himself with his head down (which seems as if he is mourning the loss of someone,) as he stands in front of a piece of graffiti artwork depicting sadness.

Being young and dumb is one of my strong suits and emotional at best. I love hard and react impulsively when I'm hurt at times. I don't think social media is a place to air out or hash out personal problems and a nigga feel hella WACK for doing it. So I AM APOLOGIZING I live in a glass house and the same shit that makes me great also is my curse. Everybody know I love that girl. I don't care how my image my look to the public because I'm still gonna be the best at what I do. I just want baby girl to know I apologize!
