New to our pages and known as OMGitsBeezy, Nicholas Travon Murphy, is an artist, songwriter, producer, and engineer from Raleigh, NC.

A submission I’m glad I listened to, OMGitsBeezy recently came out with a video to his catchy single, “Back End”. Born into a musical background, Beezy has been writing, producing, and recording himself since he was twelve years-old.

In 2018, Beezy found himself as a victim in a shooting that left him paralyzed for months in 2018. Since then, Beezy has continued to show listeners that he is back on his feet by releasing content. Three months before dropping “Back End”, Beezy released a new video titled “Karma” that was just as good.

Something I found as great marketing skills was that in both videos, OMGitsBeezy sports the same car with his name and socials stamped on the outside. While the director of “Back End” is @directedbywoosy and the director for “Karma” is @directorillyrock, the producer for “Back End” is @ayowiththemayo and @prodwoodpecker for “Karma”.

Watch OMGitsBeezy’s new video to “Back End” below. For more content, be on the lookout this summer for Beezy’s upcoming project titled #2Goats1Farm with platinum producer ISM Beats.

Rejection is never an easy pill to swallow. California rapper Koache shows just how cruel fate can be with his new Nottz-produced single, “Karma”. Time isn’t always kind, and it certainly hasn’t been kind to the women Koache makes reference to on the track, who were apparently struck by the ugly stick years later. He’s not bitter though…

“Karma” is off Koache’s upcoming album, Game Point, dropping later this summer.
Similar to his last video, “Karma” features the wordsmith posted around New York City, variously smoking, strolling, staring back at the camera, and of course, rapping his ass off. Yet, while we get these various images of him, there’s a tangible feeling of distance. Even when Taro‘s the focal point of a shot, aggressively gesticulating his rhymes directly at the camera, he manages to displace himself and emphasize the song. It’s almost as if, in lieu of the ability to hire an animator, he animates the video himself, the goal being his own self-displacement.

This is uncommon for rap videos, but the effect is powerful. Taro can obviously rap and he can rap well, but this self-displacement clearly shows that he’s more interested in being respected as a songwriter rather than just as a rapper. If you pay attention to the volume of Hi-Tek‘s slap-happy, soulful instrumental, you’ll notice that it nearly drowns Taro out. Every time Madeleine Curtis moans in the background, Taro is rendered nearly inaudible, yet he seems to be perfectly fine with this. This is what happens when rappers focus on their music more than themselves. Hopefully, karma will reward Taro for his focus. Watch “Karma” below.
