In case you’ve been under a rock for the last couple months, Kenny Powers is setting the shoe world on fire.  Since his promotion to MFCEO of K-Swiss, Kenny and his team of advisers haven’t looked back.  K-Swiss and RESPECT. go way back, but since Kenny took over the duo has changed the game.  Now Powers covers a limited edition of Vol. 2, Issue 4.  Not sure how to find it?  Well, that’s because we control the supply.  However, we are looking to give away some of these limited edition copies.

With support from K-Swiss, an underwriter of great creative individuals throughout the hip-hop world, Hughes discusses his biggest influences, the effects of sibling rivalry and working with Dre. You might not realize it, but you know Chris Robinson. He’s a film director who creates music videos and television commercials, and he has helped define hip-hop culture with his iconic images, all of which spring to life through his inimitable lens.

Robinson’s videos employ strong imagery and unique locations to help explain the true meanings behind the songs, showing the artist as a real person beyond all of the expensive jewelry and fancy cars. His vision shatters boundaries and, more important, helps break new artists.

His clients make up a who’s who of hip-hop royalty, including Jay-Z, Nas, Alicia Keys, Lil Wayne and, of course, T.I. As a matter of fact, T.I. is debuting his new video for “Got Your Back” (featuring Keri Hilson), which was directed by Chris Robinson right here and right now. And as an added bonus, our friends at K-Swiss were able to turn the lens around on Robinson and ask him some important questions about his life and career.

On Friday June 25, Warner Bros. Records along with Ciroc, Asylum, K-SWISS, and RESPECT. mag threw a pre-BET awards celebration at the Highlands in Hollywood. D-Nice and Felli Fel provided the sounds and guests were entertained by special surprise performances by Lyfe, Kandi & New Boyz. Celebs in Attendance included; Eric Benet, Lisa Raye, Kandi Buress, New Boyz (who received their platinum plaques at end of the night), Lyfe Jennings, Too Short, Flo Rida, Angie Martinez, Angela Yee, Kid Capri, Debra Lee (BET), Taraji Henson, Big Tigger, AJ Calloway and Rosa Acosta.
