]]> JoshSimmons is technically living out his dreams, but today he’s dealing with the setback of COVID-19 and the frustrating existence of being an up-and-coming rapper. Initially planning to release a video for single “Pressure” causes the Baton Rouge rapper’s frustration to boil over as a global pandemic sets back more than plans of completing music videos. From recently turning 21 and having to stay inside in April, to making strides with his single that went from 100 – 100,000 streams on Spotify, to say the least Josh is turning setbacks into success!

Originally released in mid October of 2019, JoshSimmons released the now chilled trap tune known as “Pressure”. But where did it come from? He and those around him are buzzing with a mix of excitement and anxiety. Scrolling through beat after beat to find that next sound, and then it happens! A face lights up and a hum, followed by mumbled words come out the mouth of the then 20 year old rapper. As his energy picks up so does his confidence, “This is the One”. Of an unassuming amount of beat selections, after browsing thoroughly through, finally a decision is made. Pressure is created.

On his latest single “Pressure,” he shows off a dark vibe yet playful side with catchy hooks and adlibs. Creating a nostalgic flow that’s so subtle you’ll find more than your head bobbing to it. His slick flow seamlessly floats to the beat, creating the ideal soundtrack for any club or house party.
