At the top of 2019, major blog sites broke the story that Josh Stone is suing Ariana Grande over her smash “7 Rings.” Grande was sued for copyright infringement in a federal complaint filed in New York on Thursday by hip-hop artist Josh Stone, who claims that “‘7 Rings’ is a forgery,” Billboard and People report. ]]> Rapper/producer Josh Stone is back with a new visual for “Get Gone,” a track that calls out groupie chicks and fake friends and encourages them to get gone, get grown. 

After smoker anthem “Joshua Stoner” and the defiant “Said That I Couldn’t,” Josh enlisted fellow RVO rapper Swiv on this latest release, and as he explains, they didn’t make this song to make any friends:

“What inspired me to make ‘Get Gone’ was [the fact that] a lot of people are clingy dishonest immature following users. From males who just wanna smoke weed to females/males who just want d**k/p***y….I made this song to express my frustration with men and women who easily cheat on their spouses because of fame and power. It’s no secret that it happens, I just think it’s f****d up. They need to get gone and get grown.”

]]> NY bred rapper and producer Josh Stone continues his recent wave of new music with “Said That I Couldn’t,” a track with lyrical threats from poetic to literal over a beat that will surely make his haters nervous. Stone was encouraged by Public Enemy’s Chuck D to not be afraid to step out on his own, and it’s clear from this release that he’s taken that message of NO FEAR to heart.

While rapping remains just a hobby for many, Josh Stone explains that he’s in hip-hop to stay: “I would like to be that voice that stands out from the rest of the crowd, which to me is like a bad talent show,” Josh Stone says of his mission with music. Stone plans to drop lots of new music this year on his Real Vibez Only label, so stay tuned!
