Every Summer we all prepare for the hottest festivals. We strategically plan which festivals to hit up and which ones to ignore. Ultimately, all the festivals seem to have the same feel to them and don’t really provide that extra substance; that everlasting memory. Luckily for all of those seeking more than just a night filled of mediocre music, The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival is back!

Ever since 2005, The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival has been providing hip-hop heads with a one stop shop of old school, new school and alternative hip-hop. And like the previous years, this year will be legendary.

As most of you have already heard, Common will be headlining The BK Hip-Hop Festival but the rest of the lineup is just as awesome:

Featured on their upcoming collaborative album “Modern Vintage,” the song is a boom bap extravaganza without blatant nostalgia. Robinson and PVD are clearly products of the 90s, but they neither wear their allegiances on their sleeves nor totally disavow these allegiances by rejecting their origins: “life mixed with creativity, never simplicity.” This is modern vintage.
